I don’t see why they think Carr is only a 30% chance of re-signing. I know they just pulled that number out of their a**, but still…

A great corner coming off back-to-back years that rank him near the top of the league, especially among #2 corners with a team in the Chiefs with some of the most money to work with…30% seems way too low. I would put it around 65% re-signed, but there is no way Pioli just lets a player like that walk without at least tagging him and looking for trade offers (not that that would be the route I would take).

He is only 25 and it is not we are short of money. All the typical reasons teams don’t re-sign their good young players doesn’t fit Carr’s situation with the Chiefs.

Just because Pioli is often slower in FA and lets the market play itself out a little before jumping in. The timing on re-signings has often been pretty odd, with in-season re-signings like DJ56 and JC that aren’t the norm. Pioli works in mysterious ways.

But yeah, I definitely think they will be back.
