Pioli isn't Paranoid, Arrowhead Employees are Just Awful

We all know about the wire-tapping. We've all heard about how Pioli is a "monster" who likes to control Arrowhead from head to toe.

But have you considered that maybe he is controlling things because the leftover employees from previous regimes are just comfortable with mediocrity?

I mean, for a franchise that hasn't won a playoff game in 18 years or a Super Bowl since 1970, its apparent to me that the people in charge haven't been focusing on doing whats right for the team. Pioli should be firing people like he has been. If the environment is comfortable for the employees, but the employees haven't delivered any sort of achievement since 1970, then clearly some things needs to get shaken up.

in defense of the candy bar wrapper part

I believe it is called the “Broken Windows” theory. Police in New York in the 90s reversed a trend of rising crime and drug problems by painting over graffiti on subway trains and focusing on fare-skippers

We don't need a bunch of cats in here—"meeeooow!"—lookin' in the mirror. "I look gooooood, I got my extra bands on, I got my other shoes"—Be a dog! We don't need no meows, we don't need no cats. We need more dogs.

oh, so Pioli was fighting drugs and crime that were rampant in the offices at One Arrowhead Drive?

well now … THAT makes sense ;-)

You can’t fire me for that. I’ve got tenure. I’ll get it when I get it. I’ve got coffee to drink.

For the candy wrapper, it was used to explain a concept to build a team. I don’t get the big deal.

There's just so many better examples to use..you know, football related stuff.

It’s not like the Chiefs couldn’t’ find examples of of mistakes and lack of attention.

What program is that exactly?
This sounds about the same as Obama’s share the wealth, by taking away from those who work and earn to give to those who have wasted their lives on drugs, alcohol and other trivial pursuits.

Anyway, back to the candy wrapper…I’ve had lots of bosses who would scold the whole team about something when everyone in the room knew the individual who was at fault. But the offender was never called out personally, in public or private. Seems like a chicken shit way to handle things.

If a philosophical point needs to be made to the organization, use something football related.

What program was that exactly?
Bush took away from those who were working and gave it those who were already wealthy, which in turn caused those who were working to lose their jobs … I know this to be true because I’m one of them

massive over-generalization there.

Bush reduced the tax burden on those that were providing jobs for other people, that otherwise might not have a job. Thus encouraging growth, re-investment, improvements, and possible expansion of businesses…. providing even more jobs.

You are ONLY reading the tax cuts as how they apply to the top 1/10 of 1%…. and failing to take into account that the MAJORITY of the people in this country are employees by small business… and that small business is DYING precisely because of the massive and continually increasing tax burden in the form of corporate taxes… payroll taxes, unemployment taxes… etc etc.. that are constantly shifted onto them. … The massive corporations are able to defer these things, but just like the middle class suffers… the small business suffers directly because people want to punish the ultra rich. There are no distinctions made in the law. You only see the 100 huge mega corps taking advantage….and want the thing dismantled. What you don’t see are the 250,000,000 small business owners paying every bit of what they should.. and having more and more of the tax burden shifted onto their plates.

wow, and you get on me for "massive over-generalization"

hello Mr Pot, I’m Mr Kettle … tis truly a pleasure to meet you, kind Sir!

The massive corporations are able to defer these things

why do you think I made that post last summer about GE … you’re right, and those massive corporations control so much of the money it’s ridiculous, and those top income earners (CEO’s making ungodly amounts, plus ungodly golden parachutes no matter how much they screw up) are the ones who are doing the damage to all of us

however, the problem lies in the fact that even though they’re raking in enormous profits, they’re still not “creating jobs” … most of the “investment” is going overseas, most of the non-invested money is sitting offshore and overseas (by golly, those great Americans!)

there are no jobs, my friend … you need to understand that THAT is the problem that MILLIONS of people face right now

I agree with you refarding the SMALL businesses … like the rest of us, you’re getting shafted at the hands of the wealthy … I understand and I agree, and I’m sorry it’s happening

the sad fact is that it will remain that way for so long as we have this “capitalistic” system in place that rewards not “hard work and effort” but rather rewards money with more money and more power to make even more money still

the system is indeed “broken” … unless you’re already one of those ultra-rich to begin with, in which case the system is just fine

that GE post is a prime example of deductions and loop holes that companies and individuals are GOING

to search for.. (off shore profits not subject to tax).. as long as the system continues to be set up to try and punish them for being successful.
Flat tax. ONE percentage rate for everyone. No deductions, no loopholes. Everyone plays by the same rules.

BTW “Golden Parachutes” aren’t every going to go away as long as companies keep writing them into the contracts of their CEO’s, and unions keep demanding them as well (in some form). That’s got nothing to do with corruption. It’s the same kind of thing as “tenure” for a high school teacher. You can’t fire them no matter how shitty a of a job they do once they achieve a certain level/time served. If you do fire them you must agree to pay them XXX. It’s just that the job pays so much higher.. so the XXX is that much higher too.

RE: Candy wrapper

Just pick it up… If you have pride in your organization, it is no big deal to bed down and pocket it. Though it is not my job, I do this routinely at work and at my apartment complex or out on a walk or in the park… People seem to fetishize compartmentalization and division of duties. If you are of the mindset that you are a part of your structure (company, community, team) then this is really a no-brainer.

I've been rapping for about seveteen years okay? I don't write my stuff anymore I just kick it from my head you know what I'm sayin? I can do that. No disrespect but that's how I am.

Damn! Soybon and Upamtn have a pretty good idea of what’s going on. Major props to Soybon on some of the material he posted and his grasp of said material.

Well done folks.
