Hudson was my favorite pick last year, but Lilja was THAT bad and Hudson did fill in there. But he is a tad small at that spot.

Lilja wasn't bad at all, according to the stat sites.
And I think a better center would make him look better. I wouldn’t be opposed to upgrading LG, of course, but I don’t think Hudson is that guy.
I really think that the line should be as follows
Albert, Asamoah, Hudson, Darryl Harris, TBD

Asamoah is good at RG and fits well at that spot IMO. And what makes you think Darryl Harries is starter worthy? Serious question.
He filled in well last year at times, and you may be right it might need to be a draft pick there
I just think he has the size to play at RG. As for Asamoah, I feel like he would solidify the left side of the line entirely. He has great size for it, good footwork, and a good base. You put that next to Albert, and Hudson next to him at center and you have an entire side of the line that would be good to very good

I think Pioli is happy with leaving Lilja at LG and putting Hudson at C. You let that play out this year. I still think he drafts a later round OG to put behind those guys and to develop. If the interior doesnt improve with the addition of Hudson then OG would become a higher priority next year.
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
Might follow the Asamoah/Hudson route.
Draft a LG in rounds 2-3, let him sit a year, and then wave goodbye to Lilja in 2013.
That has been in most of my redrafts on the mock site.
I really like Lucas Nix if we can get him in the 4th. I like Kevin Zeitler but I have a feeling he will be gone before we draft in the 3rd…

You dont need to be a statistician to see Lilja wasnt very good, and we suffered in short yardage because of it.

I think a great center makes everyone look better
It’s right there with left tackle in my book. But I don’t think Lilja had a good year. He was adequate at times and awful at times from what I saw when I rewatched the games. It’s nowhere near the level of replacing BRich, but there are a lot of options with what we can do with the OL. One of which is getting Connolly, he’s played both guard positions and center. Shuffle them around until the best line forms.
