Maybe Pitt
Wants to make Haley head coach after this season and we can bring Ben and Tomlin over to the Chiefs????
Haha one can dream
Huh
Sounds like speculation to me. Be interesting if it were true, but I don’t see it.
I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.

If true then we are modeling after the Steelers
Ownership and FO making HC hire Coordinators they may not want
(Haley => Weiss, Tomlin => Haley)
See we are on the right track.
Sure...but
IDK, happens quite often (see Weis, Charlie), clearly it is speculation. I think it’s just as likely that it is true as not true, but hard to really know without being on the inside.
If you missed the link in which the PFT piece was written on, it’s here. It was written by a longtime sports writer for the Pitt Post-Gazette.
interesting find ... be more interesting to see how it all plays out

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
The Steelers are a solid org
It will play out with Tomlin saying all the right things.
Now whether they have success or not (and maybe that’s what you were referring to) that will be interesting.
I honestly don't view Haley as Tomlin's type
Two very different personalities there. Should be interesting.

But both those guys relate to the players in the same way.

True that.
The only franchise allowed to let speculation run rampant is right here in KC.

Maybe the Rooneys saw what happened when Lamar let Vermeil indulge his personal loyalty
to Robinson.

is there something that leads you to believe that Arians is NOT a pretty good OC?
there’s a big difference between keeping someone because you like him, and keeping someone because you like him AND he happens to be good at what he does

Yup, anecdotally just some well-publicized complaining from the fans about the play calling,
and objectively the fact that Pitt was middle of the pack in yards last year. Way up there in points, but their offensive yards tell me that defense was having a big impact on their points.

Oops, I was looking at the wrong table.
21st in points, 12th in yards. Better than us, but not really good.

Control
From plenty of reports Big Ben was pretty much running the offensive game plan. He was too involved in the gameplanning of Arians. From the looks of the hire, someone in the management wanted to hire someone who would keep the gamplan on the ground first. It is only a matter of time before Haley goes off on Big Ben and I dont think the owners or upper management will care if he does it.
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
Yea cant have your franchise QB involved in the offense.
that didnt work for Manning, Brady, Brees, etc.
They weren't rapist...

I guess you dont understand what he was wanting huh?
There is a HUGE difference in changing the plays at the line when the D dictates what you do. Arians decided that it was ok for a team built around D and the running game to start throwing the rock 40 times a game. I guess winning 2 SB’s with D was too shitty to continue to do that. By most reports the ownership and the management want to bring back the ground and pound and with Ben in Arians hip pocket they couldnt get that done.

Ha Ha Ha
Haley rolls on. It’s awesome.
