Center of attention. The team's two top centers --10-year veteran Dan Koppen and Dan Connolly (fourth season with Patriots in 2011) -- are unrestricted free agents and it could come down to a choice of one or the other. Koppen missed almost all of 2011 with a foot injury sustained in the season opener, while the 29-year-old Connolly continues to develop and projects as more of a long-term option.

More than likely
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.
Jamaal above all. #25 ftw.

I doubt it
Depending on what happens in FA, we have a lot of versatility with Hudson to play him at Center or Guard. We can pick up DeCastro or Konz in the draft and plug Hudson in either spot. Or, if we get Nicks, put Hudson at Center and get Reiff or Martin at RT. Talk about a line…
take it one step further- here's the full FA list for NE

I could see BGE, and maybe one of the C’s above
we have Hudson and I sure hope he's our starting guy at Center alongside DeCastro and Asamoah
tired of the old guys from the other teams instead of building those lines to last a long time

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Albert-DeCastro-Hudson-Asamoah
that combination of youth and talent on the OL makes me kinda giddy.
regardless of the RT position, that’s a hellova line
this ^^^
is what I’ve been drooling over and dreaming of for weeks!

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Still leaves a huge hole on the right and that worries me more
Richardson is a much bigger problem than Lilja. Lilja didn’t have a good year last year but he did the year before and comparing Lilja to Richardson last year is like comparing a football player to a matador. Lilja actually blocked at times. Richardson could have been carrying a big red cape and screaming ole before sidestepping, committing a false start, a hold, falling down, or being pushed into the backfied.
Basically, I would be more worried with us going into next year with Richardson than I would be with Lilja. I think we can get Martin or Reiff then a solid guard in the 2nd. Its harder to get Decastro in the first and a solid RT in the 2nd.

Remember our best ever line
Had one of those old guys from another team. Willie Roaf was a huge part of that line. Some mix and match (Nicks for instance) isn’t the worst thing.
There's not a FA on there I would take, other than Welker
but we will probably sign 4-5 of them.

I posted this in a thread a long time ago
And I can’t get into who said it (believe me I’m not trying to act important), but Koppen and Cassel are still tight and Koppen told Cassel he would definitely be open to KC when his time was up in NE.
Not like we are getting Aaron Rodgers here, but still I thought was a worthy scoop.
so ... should we get all excited n stuffs?

Koppen would be a decent acquisition
Add some depth/versatility

Not sure
Centers don’t get me too excite.. Now if we were getting Dwight Howard, that’s a Center I could get behind
