Is It OK to Wear a Chiefs Jersey to a Super Bowl Party?

It's a shame Chiefs fans. Here it is February and KC has yet again to "gargle the sweet nectar" of the Super Bowl...

As I am about to head out to a SB XLVI party, my wings are finishing off in my homemade cayanne pepper sauce and I have one last thing to take care of before the wife and I head out: what's a guy to wear? Sitting in my closet are my TG88, JC25, and BF24 On-Field jerseys. It's been months since I worn one and yet I stare longingly at them every morning. I am left wondering;

"Would it be OK if I showed up to the party in a Chiefs jersey?"

After all, If you really get down to it, I don't have a horse in this race. I am conflicted... But am I not a football fan? Am I not a Chiefs fan? Why should I hide these facts? is it gauche? Will I be scorned at the party? Will there be enough cheese dip? Will the other true fans in the room feel my pain? I don't know, what do you all think?

you're a Chiefs fan ... if you DON'T wear it, that would be wrong

assuming it’s a casual affair … now if it’s a Black Tie event, jersey would likely be out of place

it’s football, when else would you wear it? go the JC and if they scorn or mock, you have stats to back you up … best YPC etc

you should wear a Tuxedo shirt!!!
On the Jersey, hell yeah you can wear it! Dont be like some of the people I know who went and ordered a Pats Jersey! WTF IS THAT!!!

I always wear my Chiefs gear to SB parties

I think it’s especially proper when one of the original AFL 8 are in the big game. After all, there would be no SB, and especially no AFL teams without Lamar Hunt. Sadly the bad guys won again tonight.

Sometimes I feel like “Da Bears Super Fans” rooting and cheering for a team not even playing in the game, but I rock my #56 every time I can.

For black tie and formal situations I wear my KC cuff links and lapel pin.

When I go to Chiefs games and they are playing, lets say… the Raiders.. I see people in Ravens jerseys, Jones-Drew Jerseys, Cowboys etc… If they can wear that crap to a Chiefs Raiders game, then you should be able to go naked to this superbowl party.

I wore a Trent Green jersey last night

and turned it into a Tiquan Underwood Pats Jersey (with the MHK decal). Yes, the same Tiquan who got cut the day before the Super Bowl. Needless to say I was best dressed.
