Patriots Cut A Player The Day Before Super Bowl
Will this matter much on the field? Probably not since he wasn't a big piece of their team. However, I just feel like it's heartless to release a guy whose been on the team all season long right before the biggest game of the season and quite possibly his career.

Wel, he would probably have been inactive anyway
Thus, wouldn’t play.
Also, he will still get a ring if they win since he was part of the team. All players/coaches who were part of the team during the year get a ring, not just the final squad that wins it.
Nicknames I have coined:
Jamaal Charles = 'Haley's Comet'
Shaun Smith = 'Big Nasty'
Kelly Gregg = 'Old Gregg'
My conclusion:
Who cares? The media is trying to make a story out of nothing.

looks like a cold thing to do to me, Nick
I mean the night before THE game … just cold

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Hey on the other side of things
This other kid is getting to play in the Super Bowl that normally wouldn’t have.
Congrats Alex, you’re going to the Super Bowl.
Sorry Tiquan, you shouldn’t have been standing there.
Meh...

Everybody probably saw it coming -
You can bet there were no surprises inside that Patriot locker room.

playing is one thing. its amazing how cold hearted a lot of people here are.
if it were you, and you were going to get to watch the super bowl from the sidelines…something you can probably do once in your lifetime if ridiculously lucky as an nfl player, and its taken away the day before the super bowl
it sucks, claiming otherwise…..seriously?

Well it was mostly sarcasm,
hence the shouldn’t have been standing there reference from Happy Gilmore.
It sucks for the kid, but I didn’t cut him. Am I cold hearted because I am not up in arms over a tatical cut prior to the Super Bowl?
No.
I don’t get to play in the Super Bowl either, like Tiquan, I am not worthy in BB’s eyes and that is fine.

who cares? nick i would think you might care that you dont get to be on the sidelines for the super bowl when your expectations up to the day before were such.
to claim otherwise….you are lying

That Bellichick is a cold bit of business
…dude got family and friends
yes
cause the coach should worry more about his players families and not whats best for his team, the kid wasnt going to be active anyways and if the DE he brought up in this kids place ends up playing and helping then I would say its a smart move.
Doesn't really matter...
New CBA says after 8 games with a team he will get his Super Bowl pay in addition to a Super Bowl ring if the Pats win. Not too bad of a deal.
Typical "wake up call" move
The guy probably couldn’t answer one of Bill’s questions correctly, so Bill made an example of him for everyone else to see.
Predictions:
I'm going to stop predicting positive things
or could be that Bill wanted another DE
on the field today and also that DE can play gunner on special teams so Gronk doesnt have too, seems like a pretty smart move to me
Yawn
The guy will get paid a healthy amount of money whether the team wins or loses, will get a ring if they win, and the move was because the team wanted another big body for a likely very physical game. And considering the player contributed very little, and had nothing but great things to say about the team despite this, lets just chalk it up to “no one cares, including the parties involved, so move on”
I'm so overrated, I'm underrated.

but wont get the experience of being apart of the team as they play in the super bowl.
so id say someone cares
of course why would you care? its not you, or anyone you know….so there is no reason to feel remotely bad for him since he has it better than the rest of us right? at least he gets a ring? well thats just not the point

WOW
I really dont respect Belichick now. Why cut him now? So let me get this straight. Some guy from the practice squad that wasn’t good enough to make their sorry defensive roster as a back up is supposed to make a difference in the Superbowl? If he was so great then why didn’t he play a single snap this season? Against the best team in the NFC at that? GTFOH.
Giants, please crush them.
