after Brandon Carr and Dwayne Bowe are extended.

If they are extended and I have no reason to think they won’t be kept around since the Daboll signing hints that they probably won’t make a run at Peyton IMO.

I was more or less saying he doesn’t count either way. Chiefs have done a good job, so far, of holding on to their young core players under Clark. Of course, the clock is still ticking on Bowe and Carr.

Do you consider Pollard a big loss?

I liked Pollard and Page, I didn’t see the point of moving away from that tandem.

Wade Smith would have been nice to keep around and Babin looked awful while he was in KC for the most part and was awful before he came here. Something clicked for the guy though.

Pollard didnt mesh with the HC, and Babin is a worse version of Hali. Pure Pass Rusher only, and in the Wide 9 not the 3-4

but I think the Chiefs have draft decent the past few years.

The draft is hit or miss, but the Chiefs have a solid core. Especially if the injuries come back healthy moving forward into 2012.

The teams that you are attempting to criticize for building through free agency have had more recent success than Hunt’s build through the draft.

If we want to cherry pick teams, the Pats have shown us that the best way to build a team is not through traditional free agency or through the draft but through undrafted free agents. They have UDFA starting I believe.

I wasn't criticizing them.

I was just pointing out that not every team commits to the draft the way Hunt and the Chiefs are trying to do. The argument was made that they’re no different than the other 31 teams in that regard. I disagree, and I pointed out a couple examples.
