Kansas City Chiefs GM Scott Pioli had quite a bit of information in his Tuesday morning interview with 810 WHB's Border Patrol. He cleared up the confusion surrounding the Chiefs salary cap, touched on Stanford Routt and also talked about free agent Brandon Carr.
Another thing he hit on was the future of Dwayne Bowe, the Chiefs impending free agent receiver. Judging by the quote below, it's safe to assume that Bowe isn't going anywhere.
"We're hopeful to re-sign Dwayne," Pioli said. "One way or another, we would love to have Dwayne back here as a Chief. Just like Brandon [Carr]. We would like to keep the good players we have. The important part is that you have to come to an agreement."
That's about as close as we'll get to Pioli saying Bowe will be signed to a longterm deal or franchised. Whichever one it is, it's clear he's coming back.
