I loved watching Priest Holmes play and loved when he came back. I just didn't expect it to end so soon when he did finally make it back. That being said, Peyton Manning will never play again. We should move on from the hope and expectations.

I refuse to throw in the towel on an extraordinary
athlete like Peyton Manning. You can compare the situation to Holmes, that’s totally fair.
But every situation is different and until I see Manning put in his retirement paperwork or get carted off the field. I will just assume he will be a world class athlete that will make millions in 2012.
For every Priest Holmes injury, there is another story about an athlete that overcame all odds to return to greatness. You just can’t count a guy like Manning out IMO. It’s foolish.

Word.
Heard a report on NFL radio yesterday that Peyton has been hitting the weight room and looks bigger than ever. Can’t remember who said it, but they stated he looked huge, and there was no fat involved.

Lanier, I hear ya and appreciate your opinion ... I very much fear something horrible if Manning DOES return to the field
the risk involved is why I prefer that he retire instead of this comeback thing (which may not even be a comeback, ultimately)
I guess we’ll see what happens, and it’s his choice and I know he’s a terrific competitor, but I’d hate to see him go down in a head and never get back up, regardless of what uniform he was in

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
The thing I have an issue with those takes is that you act as if
him coming back isn’t even a possibility.
Or that he is already laying there motionless and not getting up, when chances are really highly likely that he comes back with no visible ill effects from the injury.
But to each their own Manning diagnosis. Honestly though, I think all of the doomsday stuff is mostly coming from the fans and media over blowing the injury situation.

Funny timing because Priest was on 810 today and he said that he thought Peyton would play again.
His reasoning was that Peyton had the surgery that Priest was offered, but declined to have. I’m not saying he will or won’t, but it is a bit ironic.
This is really important, too
The injury didn’t cause Manning pain or limit his mobility. It was a nerve situation that was causing him to lose arm strength. If he was worried about further injury that would effect his football career, let alone his quality of life, he would have declined the disc fusion and retired, as Holmes did. Manning wanted to keep playing and took the surgical option the doctors told him could make that possible. He then reportedly went overseas for stem cell treatments to facilitate faster rehab. He just said yesterday or the day before that the latest prognosis is good and he fully expects to be cleared to play. He is not retiring.
sooner or later, God'll cut you down...
Peyton is gonna play again for certain

play in kc 2012
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.
Little different I guess
Priest gets hit every play. Peytons one of the best at avoiding em. I think he’ll be good to go.

That's what I thought
Until I just read that he just got cleared to play by the guy who performed the surgery on him.

Question is? Will this organization pull the trigger?
As a long time season tix holder, I hope so
