Interesting tidbit on why Chiefs should take Richardson
"Kansas City Chiefs: Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama Jamaal Charles will be back next year, but the Chiefs have never been convinced that he can carry the load. That's even a more unreasonable expectation in 2012 given that he's coming off a torn ACL. Trent Richardson is by far the top player available. He would give Kansas City the top one-two punch at running back in the NFL. For Chief fans who want a tackle or something else over Richardson, let me remind you of Arizona's 2007 NFL Draft (click the link for my re-mock). The Cardinals had a very slight need at running back (as much as Kansas City needs one), and Adrian Peterson was on the board at No. 5. They instead opted to take an inferior talent who filled a much bigger need. Five years later, I'm sure Arizona would rather have Peterson over Levi Brown. Richardson is the best running back prospect since Peterson. Taking him here is the right move because you don't choose a Levi Brown over an Adrian Peterson."http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2012.php

It's a very deep FA and Draft class at RB
There are lots of good backs available this year in both FA and later in the draft. There’s no reason to waste a first on a back that doesn’t fit our system and benefited from playing behind a top o-line.
How about Houston and Reggie Bush?
Pretty sure they have been laughing since that one…
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
Please
Dont tell me you are comparing RBush to Richardson ?

I guess you didnt understand the concept... Let me help you out
The above post from Watlerfootball talked about a team not taking the best RB for a player of higher need. It just happened that Ari took Brown who turned out to be a bust for them and they passed on AP(so did 5 other teams). He used that as a reason KC should take Richardson. I pointed out that Houston passed on “The best running back in CFB ever” to draft Mario Williams. I am pretty damn sure that worked out for them. How about Det taking Johnson over AP? How about Cle taking Joe Thomas over AP? Maybe Oakland should have taken AP over JRuss? See I can do what Walter did to make his point. Does what happened to another team HAVE ANY BEARING ON OUR PICK? HELL NO!
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
Also on the point he made about Arizona needing a RB
They didnt draft one in that entire draft class, so maybe Arizona didnt think they had as much need as Walter thought? Maybe that is because they were on their 2nd year with Edgerrin James… Yet another reason his arguement isnt valid.
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
And the Vikings had Chester Taylor coming off a great year
A better year then Edgerrin James….
Me and Matt Cassel just - you up, dog!

I'd love for the Chiefs to pick Richardson
The OT class in this draft is fairly deep, so there will be a good one in the 2nd round (Zebrie Sanders?). As far as the G Decastro, I’d like that pick as well, but I’m probably one of the few that thought Lilja did fine last year and certainly has a few years left in the tank. But you certainly can’t go wrong with either guy
Also a very deep running back class
You can get a very good looking back in the 5th in Bolden, Ballard, or Gannaway
Would not mind seeing Chiefs
draft Richardson if he somehow fell to number 11 or 12
well, yesterday we went over this pretty thoroughly, Pioli will do whatever he does but we can sure talk about it :-)

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Sounds like #10 or #11 draft picks ........
Are prime trading numbers. Sounds like this is exactly the position Don “The Master Drafter” Pioli wants to be in. He is a wheeler dealer. I can see him getting a couple of good projected 1st rounders in the second or third round ( justin houston ) with the extra picks!
KC CHIEFS, $1,000,000,000+ and growing !
