My scenerio trade involving Bowe.
Trade Bowe and get RGIII is it worth it?
Most if not all boards have the Rams picking Blackmon with there second pick. Basically they are saying they need a quality WR for Bradford. I know a lot of you are going to yell at me on this one. Why Not trade Bowe and our first round pick for the 2nd pick in the draft. They get the reciever they want which is proven, young and can play now, rather then one that takes a little time to learn the ropes in the NFL. I know Bowe draws a lot of attention from the defense but we have Baldwin, Breaston and can acquire a WR via free agency. It would be easier to address WR in Free Agency than to acquire a QB in Free Agency. There are a lot of WR's to chose from. What good is Bowe if we have no one that can throw to him. The Rams get there reciever and can adress another need on the 11th/12th pick. we would still have our 2nd round pick and can address RT there. We would not be giving up any future picks and would have the franchise QB we need.

Disagree.
Orton is not a QBOTF. RGIII very well could be. And Baldwin/Breaston/a free agent receiver is still a very good receiving corps.

Good with me.

NOOOOOO
i dont wanna trade bowe at all. I like baldwin and breaston but they are both no Dwayne Bowe sorry. As much as i dont wanna see cassel as our qb i dont wanna give up bowe for it to happen,
Only way I would approve this trade is if
Bowe either doesn’t wanna put up with the QB situation, or wants more money than Pioli will give him. Either way he would be tagged and that would set the trade up. IF that happened, I would hope the trade would be for a QB

getting RGIII is tempting no matter how you go about getting him.
Thats all im going to say about that, losing bowe to gain RGIII is not exactly my scenario I would really love to see bowe with RGIII though. He has never had a QB that is truly good. Im all for giving up future picks and filling alot of holes via veterans in free agency I think we need some more vets on this team anyways.
How about making the same trade with the Colts

wow ... another Madden trade?
to get RG3 is going to cost roughly 2-#1 and 1-#2 … Luck would cost even more, roughly 2-#1 and 2-#2 (and at that it’s doubtful the Colts pull the trigger
Bowe MIGHT get us a #2 in a trade (we’d have to sign him first, of course) … so even if we sign him and the Rams want him that much, we’d still have to give up at least our #1 pick in 2013 (and no doubt the Rams will have offers that good and better)
then we have the issue of a rookie QB behind a weak OLine with nobody to throw to other than a mostly slot guy (Breaston) and an unproven 2nd year WR (Baldwin) … a lot to give away there, my opinion

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Then we man up and try again instead of waiting another 30 years like we did after Blackledge.
Teams that aren’t trying to find franchise QBs don’t end up with franchise QBs. Busts happen. Sometimes you draft Ryan Leaf. And when you do, you go out and try again until you get Drew Brees or Phillip Rivers.

that's the spirit!
let’s keep trading away draft picks and any hope of BUILDING A TEAM for the hope of hitting ONE guy who, if we do find him, will take 3 years to BE that guy, by which time our best players will be gone and we’ll have no draft picks left to rebuild around that guy
brilliant, absolutely brilliant! I only wish I’d thought of it first :-)

Look, obviously you don't trade all your picks for one player every year.
But if you decide that RGIII is “the guy,” then you do what it takes to get him. And if he doesn’t pan out, you don’t let that scare you off from ever taking another highly drafted QB again. And hell, maybe the next guy isn’t a Griffin at #2 overall. Maybe it’s a Josh Freeman in the 20s or a Drew Brees in the 2nd.
But I am getting so tired of people with the, “It’s too risky to try to draft a franchise QB highly so we should just stick with guys like Cassel and keep hoping we win the Tom Brady lottery in the late rounds,” mindset. That’s bullshit.
At some point you pick your spot, and swing for the fences. And you don’t stop going up to the plate if you strike out once.

And furthermore
this is not the same God-awful, hole-ridden, Chiefs team Pioli took over 4 years ago. We realistically need depth, and 3 new starters – one of which is at the QB position. If Pioli thinks Robert Griffin III is a franchise QB, trading up in the draft to take him isn’t going to tank this franchise’s chances to be competitive. Especially with the new rookie wage scale and especially considering how many team flaws an elite QB is capable of masking.

Nice post
and I’ve said this numerous times, but I think that’s probably too “cheap” for RG3. I think it will also take another early to mid rounder, like a #3 or #4 to go with our #1 plus Bowe. I’d be down with that. Lotso receivers in FA…

Could even sign Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, or TO cheaply as a stopgap and spend a 1st rounder next year on a WR.

I agree.
As much as I like Bowe. Chiefs need a Franchise QB. If we lost Bowe we could come up with a High Caliber Veteran as you said and then go after a Top WR in next years draft. Even if we do this the O-line needs to be addressed either by Picking a RT in round 2 or pick up some quality FA O-linemen.
GO CHIEFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Nicks or Grubbs,
and an OT in the 2nd…keep B-Rich for depth…that should address the problem…

another way
why not send Dorsey, Cassel and our 1st for Sam Bradford and their 2nd. They can take RGIII for around 22 million and we take bradford for the remaining 26mil over 4 yrs left on his contract. We not have our QOTF in Bradford and the Rams get RGIII with their 2nd Pick (their QOTF) and still have our 11th pick to get more help.
WIN WIN HERE!!!
