The Three Most WTF Moments of the Chiefs Season

As if you couldn't tell, I love lists. They make everything better.

Anyway this is the top 3 WTF Moments of the Chiefs Season. These are in no particular order.

  1. 3 Week Nightmare- This was probably the oddest NFL Season for injuries. Peyton Manning is out for the season, the Jaguars set an NFL Record for players on IR, the Giants lose half their DB's to IR. The Chiefs were far from immune and it showed. In the final Week of preseason, Tony Moeaki tore his ACL and brought fears from his college days of injuries. In Week 1 of the regular season against he Bills the only thing sadder than the final score was Eric Berry going down with an ACL tear. All I will say on this is that Stevie Johnson better wear knee guards next year just to be on the safe side. Then the final blow was against the Detroit Lions when, during a first down run, Jamaal Charles went down on the sideline. Fans feared the worst and you could see the look on his face that his season was over. Sure enough, it was announced that he was out for the season. I think many fans were on suicide watch after that. To add insult to injury, the NFL posted a picture of Jamaal Charles on a stretcher. It was quickly pulled.
  2. The Monday Night Miracle- In a night that both Chargers fans and Chiefs fans will remember for a while, the weirdest things happened that night (one of which of Tamba Hali finding another gear). The game was bizarre but one play will stick out. With 1:04 left in regulation, Phillip Rivers was ready to kneel twice and then place the ball where the kicker wanted it. Instead he fumbled the snap and from the depths from the pile, Andy Studebaker pulled the ball out. The Chiefs would win in OT. Accounts from the game said that there were fireworks moments before the snap. If anyone knows who it was, I know a few fans who love to buy that person dinner.
  3. Todd Haley- Yep "Homeless" Haley makes this list all on his own. After getting blown out two weeks in a row, it seemed like he was trying to piss someone off. It maybe the fans, players, the Don or the scalpers on the George Brett Bridge but it was someone. From the playcalling fiasco, the Matt Cassel altercation to playing cornhole in the locker room. Needless to say that whatever it was, it got him fired and then the Chiefs go on to beat the Green Bay Packers.
