New CBA gives teams the right to carry over cap space automatically
Under Article 13, Section 6(b)(v) of the CBA, each team may carry over any remaining cap room from one year to the next by submitting written notice, signed by the owner of the team, to the league office no later than 14 days before the start of the next league year. The written notice must indicate the maximum amount of cap room that the team wishes to shift from one cap year to the next.

read that article quoting Hunt
Sounds to me like they are playing this one correctly.
These aren’t the Royals, they plan on keeping their young talent

It was pretty much word for word what I've been saying.
There has been no reason to be big spenders the last few years, but they’ve spent money to keep their own guys and Hunt says that will continue to be their priority.

Doesnt sound cheap to me
"The reason we chose to carry it over is because we anticipate needing it in 2012 and 2013. Both to continue signing our own fee agents as well as being able to go out and sign some free agents from outside," Hunt told 810 Sports just days before the Super Bowl.

This sounds promising
Now just pay Bowe and Carr already please, front load their contracts and use that 20M$.

Yes and no.
Is there or is there not a salary “floor” this season?
There is no minimum payroll. But the 32 teams combined must spend $3.8 billion in cash (salaries and bonuses) by the end of the season.
Starting in 2013, the league will return to a “cap floor,” which is set at 89 percent of the cap.

I heard about this on the radio this morning
And began to wonder if Pioli knew about this all along and it’s the reason they didn’t spend a ton last year only to make a big splash this year…
Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they made a difference in the world. But, the Marines don't have that problem.

Well, Clark was heavily involved in the CBA negotiations.

Resign our guys first.
Then sign DE/LB D. Williams and DT P. Soliai.

Then trade G Dorsey for a draft pick
Use our picks for offensive linemen, a lb and a wr at least. Go into this season with Cassel/Orton

problem is Williams isnt a good 3-4 DE
He’s ok as an OLB, but it’s not his best position
So, you’d get rid of Dorsey for another guy you’d ask to play out of position, then not be happy when he isn’t a complete player.

Demorrio Williams should come pretty cheap
KC Draft prediction: No OT taken in first round

Will be interesting to see what they do with Dorsey.
I think Albert is a lock to get a new contract. But Dorsey would have to take a big pay cut unless he suddenly becomes an All-Pro next season.
