Found out I’ll be spending my summer in Istanbul, so I don’t have to keep looking for a summer job, which seems impossible for 1L’s.
As for how I’m coping with the lack of football, I really enjoy ruby too. I’m watching French Top 14 because it’s easily available on ESPN3. If only the World Cup happened every year, I’d be a happy, happy man.

Congrats! Istanbul's awesome.
Spent a few days there. Soooo many things to see and so few barriers. One of my co-workers earned some cash there over a summer as a print translator. Lots of people and culture = lots of writers, so native English speakers have an automatic niche if you want a side job.

For nearly half my life music has been a huge part of it. Some of my favorite memories from high school involved marching band, and I was very good at it. However, in college I only had time to do pep band, and our last game of the school year was today. So, with no real motivation to play my instrument after I graduate, I can’t justify keeping it and not using it since it’s so expensive. So tonight may have been the last time I ever played my euphonium, and I’m kind of sad.

The top spot goes to the day when I finish my last final, marking the end of my school career.
A close second is after my graduation when I drive out of St. Louis for the last time, never to return. That will be the greatest feeling ever.

I took a buddy of mine last year to his First NFL game… I state this as he played in UK’s pep band from 94-98, played in the big bball games and a bowl game during this time. The game that I took him too was the playoff game… and it was interesting to see his perspective as a musician. Even if he hasn’t played in 12 + years.
That type of stuff never leaves you…

Started in on my first chapter of my Thesis this week...

Its an Interdicsiplinary approach... so I have to use at least 2 schools (Natural Science and Education)
The chapter I’m currently working upon is about the research study that I have been working on for the past 2.5 years. This involves the work on tracking box turtles and recording invasive Amur Honeysuckle data. Hopefully this portion gets published in a scientific journal.
The 2nd chapter will involve the use of education of this subject… I haven’t fully talked this out with my adviser yet. So this part should be challenging.

I’m substitute teaching on my off days, and I subcontract IT jobs…
Seems pretty stop and go with what we are doing,,, though I’m hoping to have the last part of my results data done next week. That way I can have everything except the intro and discussion completed the following week.
