Chiefs have the Cap room to sign Carr, Bowe and make a run for Manning (Montana 2.0?)
Hey Everyone this is my first fan post. I was doing a little digging on our beloved Chiefs financial situation and stumbled across a website the shows the salary cap room for each team this off season. I feel the Chiefs have the cap room to re-sign Dwayne Bowe, franchise Brandon Carr (Buy some time to renegotiate a new contract), AND make a run for the Peyton Manning sweepstakes(only if he's released, NO trades)
On top of the guys mentioned above I would like the Chiefs to re-sign Le'Ron McClain. Who would you like to see the Chiefs re-sign or sign this off season?

nice find and thanks for posting it
no question we have the space, and I do want all 3 of the guys you mentioned (Bowe, Carr, McClain) as well as Orton (in lieu of Manning) … I’d much rather spend the “big money” on Paul Soliai (NT) and a few other players to add for depth at RB and DB and perhaps OLine or elsewhere

Pretty sure
we have more than 2.7m in cap space.
I think that means were 2.7m under the cap FLOOR....

2) 3m
3) 28m
4) 2.7m
pretty sure there has to be an error…

Resign DBowe, and Orton then draft CB's Claiborne or Kirkpatrick.
Peyton still has a noodle arm, and shouldn’t be messed with until he’s 100% healthy. Carr can be let go, he’s going to want big money and hasnt proved hes worth it yet. If he really wanted to stay, he would have negotiated a new contract last year instead of being tendered.
Claiborne or Kirkpatrick would give us two shutdown corners, and would make the defense even better.
