From a football standpoint Arkansas wouldve been a much better choice but if thats the reason he chose Mizzou then you can hardly fault him for that.

Arkansas isn't that far from Springfield though

Then picking Mizzou over Arkansas really makes no sense to me.
Established SEC team thats in the running for East champ every year, pro style offense and a potential first round prospect throwing you the ball seems to be a better football decision to me.

The avereage college football talk in Springfield is BIG 12, and now a little SEC (MU).
No offense to Arkansas, but they hardly get mentioned in Springfield. I’m sure DGB heard more MU talk from his classmates and friends.

I think it’s a smart move he gets Franklin for a while and then Mauk will be throwing to him. Also get’s to represent his home town. Our offense is good for receivers and he will be given the chance to make a big impact.
