Boycott the Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have not been to the Super Bowl in 42 years. It is the longest drought in Super Bowl history except for the New York Jets at 43 years. The Kansas Chiefs will never get back to the Super Bowl as long as the current ownership (Hunt Family) is in place and fan loyalty remains strong.

The ownership football management philosophy is not to commit to a long-term winning quarterback and coach. Click here:

The only exception to this football management philosophy was the hiring of coach Marty Schottenheimer (1989-1998). Schottenheimer’s teams had the highest winning percentage (.634) of any Chiefs coaches. Schottenheimer lead the Chiefs to their only AFC Championship in 1993 and lost to the Buffalo Bills.

The Chiefs have never been successful drafting or trading for a long-term winning quarterback. Joe Montana is the most successful Chiefs quarterback in the last 42 years, leading the Chiefs to the AFC Championship game in 1993. Joe Montana played for the Chiefs from 1993-1994. In the 1983 draft, the Chiefs drafted Todd Blackledge over future hall of fame greats Jim Kelly and Dan Marino.

The Kansas City Chiefs consistently draw capacity crowds in both good and bad seasons. From 1996 to 2006 the Chiefs averaged 77,300 fans per game (second only to the Washington Redskins).

The ownership of the Kansas Chiefs has no incentive to change their football management philosophy in order to put a consistent winning team on the field because of fan loyalty. The Hunt Family is in this for the money! The fact that they played a game the day after the murder-suicide death of one of the Kansas City Chief’s starting players, proves that money is the Hunt Family’s primary motive. See “Why Chiefs should not play the Panthers game” below. I urge all Chief fans to boycott watching Chiefs games to turn the Hunt Family’s money maker into a money loser!

"Why Chiefs should not play Panthers game"
Michael Silver, yahoo football sports journalist, is correct on so many levels!!! It's all about the money!!! If the owner gave a damn he would have stepped in and stopped Sunday's game from happening until health professionals have some time with the team!!! What organization on Earth would expect people to go to work and perform with about 24 hours to grieve a horrible tragedy!!! I urge everyone that has tickets to the game to boycott it in respect to human decency!!!
