Like many of us on this site, opinions are varying and strongly asserted, sometimes rudely. Like our politicians these days, trying to force those assertions down the throats of others begets plenty of animosity. I am like some that simply like to use this forum to state a differing idea once in a while and no longer feel the need to argue on it's merit as you all will do it for me. I am sure that this post will be similar and you are quite welcome to do as you will with it. My enjoyment comes from making it and see others reactions, which makes me the Troll as some have labeled me. I say, Hooray for Trolls - and being American, which gives me a constitutional right to have an opinion. Tough shit if you don't like it, may I suggest you call 1-800-Cry-MAMA!
Having said that, my idea for our first pick is (GASP) a linebacker from Georgia. So I will introduce the next Derrick Thomas as this kid has been compared to, also compared to Von Miller. That would mean we would shift Houston to the dead guys spot in the inside next to DJ. This kid is just what we need, and Houston has demonstrated an ability to cover with speed enough to go heads up on TE's. Houston would also be a maniac blitzer from that inside backer position. But what about QB?
Well now I'm glad you asked! A few teams are in need of a good experienced LT and might take a chance here. There is a certain team in the windy city that has a great need for a OT, and the GM is quite familiar with the one I would trade. You remember the old scout from KC who took that GM job in Chi Town last year? So sign Albert, or designate him as a RFA-restricted free agent- and jump back in the first with a trade to pop on a QB.
Right, trade Albert, what a fool I am. However, our home town rookie is showing up in that LT spot. I would also suggest that he is playing better than Albert did as a rookie. Albert not only is due huge dollars, but now has back issues. Do Not think dollars are not a consideration, this is business and with a cap as a factor. Also don't disregard back issues as they have a habit of re-occurring, see what happened to Gaither. Of course all this is pure speculation that we continue to lose and win the suckitude prize of drafting numero uno. Ain't it amazing that even Troll's love the Chief's. Go Chief's!!!!
