It has been rumored that a few teams are moving to L.A. I personally have heard Minnesota, San Diego, Jacksonville, and Oakland. My question and where I am confused is if none of these move how does it become an expansion I mean wouldn't they need at least 2 expansions? or wouldn't they need one for each division North, South, East, West in the AFL and NFL? I suppose they could go back to the East Central and west divisions which would need what 6 new expansions instead of 8?if not Expansions then depending on what team moves what does it do to the divisions? say like if San Diego or Oakland move no problem I am to assume. But if say Jacksonville moves and they become say the L.A. Jaguars then that takes them out of the AFC South and moves them to the West correct? well the big Question is San Diego is further SOUTH than L.A. then does it put the Jags in the AFC WEST with Denver, Kansas City and Oakland and the San Diego Chargers in the AFC SOUTH (since further south) with Houston, Indy, and Tennessee? I don't see any other way but I guess they could stay AFC South with the Jags but makes it incorrect. Also if Minnesota goes then they are in the NFC North would that put the Seattle Seahawks in the North with the Packers, Bears, and Lions and the L.A.Vikings in the West with San Fran, Arizona, and St. Louis?
Would make an interesting new rival in the West with the Chiefs Jags twice a year? and losing the rival to the Chargers is going to hurt. Chargers would be in a world of complacency i guess with Indy and Texans the Titans are still trying to replace Fisher. The Jags would fit right in with the west cause no team has separated themselves really other than Manning in Denver but just like football NFL (Not For Long) .
Like said food for thought and I for one am confused as to how this would work out and it brings my mind away from the WOEFUL Chiefs my beloved team always.
If you can help in any insights please comment and sorry this is so short but trying to fathom
