Shout Out to Chiefs Fans

To all Chiefs fans who participated in the MHR Ask a Chiefs Fan thread I would like to say thank you. You helped make it the most entertaining pre-game thread of the season. Many of you were top-notch class acts and credits to your fan-base, and some were obnoxious trolls (and if you participated, you know which of these you were). And even the trolls added to the fun and entertainment value of the thread. I truly hope that no one gets banned based on that thread.

As a fan of a Bronco team that is just recovered from the hideousness of ugliness and dysfunction that was the Josh McDaniels era, I know that you must be ridiculously frustrated by the way your season has gone, and while I won't go so far as to say I sympathize (I am a Bronco fan and you are, after all, Chief fans), I do empathize with your plight. Believe me, it will get better. The interaction of fans from different rabid fan bases is what makes the SB Nation blogs the best on the web. So a shout out to you.

Rivalries are always fun. And while I said before that I am content for my team to win as much as the rest of the division combined, the truth is that competitive divisions always make for more compelling football. So in the spirit of competitive play, I hope that your front office makes the right decisions and brings the Chiefs back to respectability in the NFL. Winning the division always meant more when it was one of the best, most competitive divisions in the league. Here is hoping for a return of the glory days of the AFC West. And while I hope that we beat the pants off you every time we play, I also hope for improvement for our opponents. It is always more fun to win by beating the best.

Good luck to you as you begin your off season. In the meantime, we will do our best to represent the AFC West and make the MSM take their East coast bias and shove it in every one of their various orifices.
