Since 1940, there's never been a team that rushed for as many yards as the Chiefs did on Sunday (352) and still lost. The closest was the 1944 Cleveland Rams who rushed for 320 yards and lost 14-10. Since the merger, there have been 76 games where a team rushed over 300 yards. The Chiefs are one of three teams to lose those games; the other two are the 2009 NYJ with Sanchez being spectacularly bad (10/29 with 119 yards and 5 INTs) negating any Thomas Jones effort and the 1977 Buffalo Bills where OJ Simpson had 273 rushing yards and the Buffalo QB, Gary Marangi went 4/21 for 29 yards and 1 interception. These two QB performances actually make Quinn's line of 10/22 for 162 yards and 2 INTs not that terrible. On a separate note, the Chiefs rushing performance was the 11th best since the merger and 27th all time.
