A few observations about the KC NFL team.

I feel like I have been sold a bill of goods. The Right 53? Just look at that high character squad playing with emotion and heart-total horse shit sans the ex-coach. Not only does a starter murder his old gal pal and mother of his child, but we got guys given jobs who have done nothing to deserve them other than to be drafted or signed via free agency. You think the players have bought into this? Just look how they play, knowing that there isn't any real competition for some jobs, although they were told differently. This team hasn't showed any heart but one game all season long. Next to how Pioli has handled the coaching staff, this character philosophy used in drafting makes me wonder why we haven't struck out on more picks than we already have.Pioli has failed to due what he was hired for and I really hope he is dismissed, but I'll believe that IF it happens.

Now look at some good players who may or may not be with the team next season. First off is the WR Bowe. He doesn't strike me as a good keeper when you see his lack of route separation and drops. We excuse much around here as we are longing for good players and having a guy make plays sometimes gives us pause to consider he just might be better with a better QB. He likely would be better with a good QB, but I cannot excuse a guy who has cost our team games in the past. The past has a history of repeating itself. Besides which he has been in the league long enough to learn good route running and how to get separation and that lack speaks volumes to me.

Next is LOT Albert, who has been OK to good, but never excellent for an entire season. Now with a back issue, which are not easily dismissed as they have a habit of recurring which sucks for him and us. Do we want to sign a guy to a hefty, long-term deal in which the payoff could very well be a guy who cannot stay of the injury report? Regardless of how well Donald is coming along we need to address this position somewhere in this draft, perhaps with the first overall pick and getting our next John Alt.

The way Eric Berry is being used has me scratching my head as he used to be one of the fastest guys on the team and playing in the box against the run just ain't what he needs to be doing. As bad as that is we really need a true NFL Safety which Lewis is not. Why Berry isn't used in this role has me buffaloed. Another position which needs addressed this off season.

Thinking about our D-line with 2 big time free agents. I say big time as they both were top 5 picks in the draft and haven't produced all that much. Sure they are good serviceable lineman but far from what is needed in picks taken that early. Now Dorsey is dinged up again and likely to play in New Orleans next year. Jackson may leave or be our Franchised player, it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Jamaal is our offense and I expect to see a new contract for him or we will have a disgruntled player on our hands. Face it the shelf life of running backs isn't very long generally, and being the go to guy is putting mucho miles on his body. If it was me I'd be renegotiating.

Sorry for going on so long, I try to keep these below the 500 word count and messed up a wee bit here. If Polian comes in, I would expect to see Jack Del Rio as the coach. If Polian get's hired and a HC isn't named quickly, then he is coaching in the playoffs where it is thought Denver and Del Rio will be. Anyway----Go Chief's!!!
