As expected, Stanford Routt cleared waivers after the KC Chiefs released him yesterday.

Routt had a big bonus due next year so it didn't make sense for a team to claim him with that contract. instead they can wait for him to clear waivers and sign him to a deal.
So Routt can sign with any team, and I bet he does sign somewhere. He's a better player than your usual Week 10 transaction. Pretty much every fan base has gone through the "Should we sign him?!" stage.
Wouldn't it be something if he signed with Pittsburgh?
