The Chiefs snap counts for Week 12 against the Broncos.
The Kansas City Chiefs kept seven defensive players on the field for every snap against the Denver Broncos. Romeo Crennel has had some success against Manning so I was interested to see how he was going to use the Chiefs personnel on Sunday.
Notes on the defensive and the offensive snaps below:
Offense
All five of the Chiefs starting offensive lineman, Brady Quinn and Tony Moeaki all played every snap. This is the first time this season Moeaki has been on the field for every snap.
Jamaal Charles played 44 of the Chiefs 61 offensive plays. He had 23 carries on those 44 snaps.
Peyton Hillis only played 10 snaps. He had two carries for 5 yards. Hey, remember when he was a key free agent signing?
Dexter McCluster, who was hurt, only played 1/3rd of the snaps.
The Dwayne Bowe show was on for all but one snap.
Defense
Seven Chiefs played every snap: Abe Elam, Eric Berry, Javier Arenas, Derrick Johnson, Justin Houston, Tamba Hali, Brandon Flowers. Berry lined up like a linebacker for much of the day.
Jovan Belcher was in for three snaps.
Jalil Brown was in for all but three snaps.
Dontari Poe played in 78 percent of the snaps.
