As we have all have been commiserating here on AP about the effectiveness (or lack thereof) of our GM, HC, and Coaching Staff; I thought I'd interject a little ray of hope and dream a little bit.

As we are halfway through this miserable season of Chiefs Football (Can we really call it football?) the time I believe has come to focus on the future. Without some miracle, or some ridiculous amount of stubbornness, Hunt is going to burn One Arrowhead Drive from top to bottom. It will be a veritable Pink Slip parade. Pioli, Crennel, and staff will all be gone in my personal opinion. To do anything less would promote a toxic environment to the players, and fans.

With that said many on here have been tossing around names. Cowher, Gruden, Billick, and even some college coaches have drawn some mentions from my fellow Chiefs fans. Personally I'd love to get Cowher back here at Arrowhead. The advantage being that our Defense wouldn't have to change that much. Secondly, Cowher has the fire that this team will need to stand up after such a miserable season and also the inevitable chaos that the offseason is going to bring. Finally, Cowher has always had respect for the Hunt family and has a very good relationship with the people of Kansas City.

Regardless of who Clark is evaluating (and with the business mind that he has, he is indeed already evaluating), Clark needs to open up the pocketbook and write a blank check for the top talent available. Let them name their terms, staff, and price. Few will argue that the players on this roster aren't talented. It is obvious that the majority of the teams current problems stem from poor management and poor coaching. Nothing other than this separates the current roster from the talented roster we expected earlier this season.
