Two roster moves for KC.

The Kansas City Chiefs placed Jake O'Connell on injured reserve and elevated Rich Ranglin from the practice squad. O'Connell had a high ankle sprain suffered last week.

O'Connell's loss won't be a huge one as he was more of a blocker than a pass catcher. O'Connell, a 2009 draft pick, is in the final year of his contract so this could be it for him in Kansas City.

Ranglin is an offensive linemen and his call-up from the practice squad makes a lot of sense. Starting guard Jon Asamoah is out this game and Ryan Lilja is banged up and listed as questionable. So that tells us there's a need at offensive line for this game. Ranglin could even be active for the game.

It's getting to the point of the season where players who have an injury that may only cost them a few weeks could be landing on injured reserve considering it's already Week 11.
