Denny Medley-US PRESSWIRE
Russ Hochstein will replace Asamoah on Sunday.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be without startring guard Jon Asamoah this weekend. Romeo Crennel made the announcement at his Thursday press conference, according to the (other) AP's Dave Skretta.
Asamoah played every snap last Monday against the Pittsburgh Steelers but popped up on Wednesday's injury report. Crennel said he had surgery and that he would be out this week, but he could return next week. I'm not exactly sure when the injury happened.
Filling in for Asamoah will be Russ Hochstein, a reserve lineman who was signed earlier this season.
Asamoah is in his third year but started all 16 games last year and the first nine games this year, so this will be a change for the Chiefs.
So with Asamaoh's injury, we're down to the two tackles as the only guys who have played every game at their normal position on the offensive line this season.
