Micheal Vick, Alex Smith, Jay Cutler all out in one weekend of NFL football. The Chiefs two QB's Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn have both been knocked out of games.
Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly says he wants to monitor quarterback Everett Golson's concussion recovery for another 48 hours before deciding on a starter against Brigham Young on Saturday.
Golson was cleared to practice Wednesday after sustaining a helmet-to-helmet hit against Stanford. Kelly says Golson is getting better, but the coach wants to see how the QB does at practice Friday and before the game Saturday. He says either Tommy Rees or Andrew Hendrix could start in Golson's place.
