I'm not sure if this is a real post or just a rant, but it needs to be said. Maybe I'm having trouble finding it with the new format of this site, but am I the only 1 who is still steaming about the forward progress call made on the Joe Flacco sack.
Is there even a gif or a video of this. No sports show even acts like the play exists, and all I see on any Chiefs site is articles about Winston's rant & panic amongst the Chiefs fans & media. This could and likely SHOULD be a different story. That 1 simple call of forward progress took the game winning TD away from the Chiefs, and that just gets lost in the mix so easily because its overshadowed by the big play to get out of the 2nd or 3rd & 25? or w/e it was that got the Ravens out of that jam, and then we couldn't stop them after that to get the ball back. Yes that happened, yes we didn't make the stop & still had an opportunity to get the ball back, but we got screwed out of a fumble recovery for a TD that would've won that game & that should not go unnoticed! If that call was a fumble recovered for a TD we'd be talking about how good this team is, how they overcame bad QB play, how Quinn looked good in his very short stint, and how Crennel put together a great gameplan to shutdown that high powered Ravens offense & that the defense is really looking like its back on track. We should be talking about how huge this win over the Ravens was & how clutch our defense was & a blown call cost us that. Instead all I see is negativity on all Chiefs sites. Can we at least acknowledge this play happened, thats all I ask, it was a massive mistake in my opinion on the Refs part. I can't even remember the last time I've seen a forward progress call on a sack, let alone blown down so quickly when he was actually still moving forward! Maybe I'm just being delusional & not noticing when this call has been made.
sorry if this wasn't the right place for this to be said, but it was a huge play & I'm shocked its not being talked about.
