A few hours later, Winston stands by what he said.
Kansas City Chiefs OT Eric Winston told reporters after Sunday's game that fans who cheered when Matt Cassel was hurt were "sickening" and "disgusting". Here's a transcript of what Winston said.
Later on Sunday, he stood by what he said with this:
Obviously i know not all 70k were cheering. And please don't act like the cheering started when Quinn came in.

Right. I was sitting up in the press box and as Cassel went down more than a few fans stood up and cheered in the sections I was looking at. Now, I'm not gonna go out and make a statement about that after the game -- it probably drew more attention to the situation -- but that is what happened.
I won't RT some of the mentions I got but I encourage people to go thru them. To the vast majority of you, thank you for the support!!

I've said what I wanted to say and i won't be talking about it any further. I stand by what I have said. I believe what I said.
