We’re now over half-way through our bye week, and accomplished what? Crennel is still the HC. That ought to light a fire under some of our players (not). Pioli has talked! It remains to be seen how much he has placated the Chiefs’ faithful. By the way, Pioli is still the GM. Clark, did you take Scott out behind the wood shed & talk some sense into him? Has Albert signed a contract extension or a new contract? This time last year, we had already resigned Flowers. Is Bowe still on the roster? We’ve heard rumors that there might be as team or two interested in acquiring his services. Is the plan to just let him walk (like Carr) at the end of the season? What about settling our starting QB situation? Did I miss something here?

It’s not Crennel’s fault, you say? He only made a QB change when Baltimore forced his hand. Has he shown any emotion on the sidelines, as his offense fumbled games away, or his defense got in each other’s way rather than getting into the right position? Has he taken Daboll aside, and hinted that it might be nice if our offense was the first to score in a game? No? Then maybe it’s Pioli’s fault? Has our GM signed any of our key players who have their contracts expiring? He’s had four drafts with the Chiefs to date. How many Pro Bowl players has he drafted? Four? Five? ONE?!!

I’m sorry, but the Chiefs’ brass hasn’t impressed me one iota this bye week. They just don’t seem to feel any sense of urgency. They are standing at the helm while the ship sinks, or perhaps fiddling while Kansas City burns. Spano and Jones have been fairly public about their feelings about their respective teams’ play. We fans need to hear Hunt say that he’s not taking this sort of play from his (our) team, and he expects to see improvement, or heads will roll. Hunt, Pioli, and Crennel remind me of the three monkeys; see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil. Mr. Hunt, if this were any other business, you’d be nearing bankruptcy with such inept performance. Get some huevos! Decide who’s to blame for this mess, and can them! You’re not an American auto maker. The government isn’t going to bail you’re a&& out!
