Having made the offhand comment in a recent post about being shocked that so many people would comment on Scott Poli's latest radio bit because after all, he never really says much anyway, it was suggested by a few of my fellow fans that a presser from Pioli, or Hint, or Crennel is much like a fill-in-the-blank game of Mad-Libs.

You've seen them, just fill in the blanks with a noun, verb, adjective, etc and bingo, your silly story about almost anything in the world is complete and ready to publish. Having been duly elected by 3 of my fellow AP associates (who obviously know for a fact that I have absolutely nothing better to do than toss up satiric posts about the Top Brass at One Arrowhead Drive) I hereby take my newly elected, selected, neglected, detected position and offer you, dear reader the following ...

1) As of now, we have made a decision as to who our (NOUN) will be for the game. I can assure you that we are all (VERB) hard to ensure that the (NOUN) we go with will be the (ADJECTIVE) possible choice for the (NOUN) and the fan. I want to assure you also that (PROPER NOUN) and I are (VERB)(ADVERB) to ensure that this (NOUN) is prepared.

2) As the (NOUN) of the Chiefs, you have my word that we are never done with out (NOUN) because it's an ongoing (VERB) that we (ADVERB) try to improve. I will not (VERB) until this (NOUN) has been (VERB)(ADVERB). The (NOUN) stops here and I take full responsibility for our (NOUN) and how we (VERB) the game.

3) I want everyone to (VERB) that we have the (ADJECTIVE)(NOUN) in the NFL, and the actions of a few (NOUN) are not indicative of all of our (NOUN). We are dedicated to improving the (NOUN) for every (NOUN) and want nothing but the (ADJECTIVE)(VERB) for our (NOUN).

Have fun filling in the blanks and making your own press release statements, which will most assuredly say as much (if not more) as anything from Romeo, Scott and Clark. It's the Bye Week, so there's nothing to lose but time. We'll get back to our regular losing next week. Meantime, have fun and stay "mad" ... I mean glad, I mean ...
