Two weeks left to the trade deadline-- who can we move?

Right now, this team is one of the worst teams of all time. We've all seen it-- no lead in any game the whole year, horrible point differential, tons of turnovers and stupid mistakes happening at the worst possible time. This season is over. Time to start working on fixing this disaster by starting the housecleaning.

We need the players who are on the field to try their hardest to win, and to show some pride and self-respect for a change. But we also need to draft as high as we can to try to fix this mess. So we need to move any player who isn't likely to be a good player here next year and beyond.

What could we get in a trade for Bowe? Would some team part with a second or third rounder for half a season of Bowe? That's a lot to give up, so maybe not. But we need to start shopping him now, and trying to get a market going for him, hopefully playing interested teams off one another to get the most that we can for him.

If Cassel plays decently in the next game, we might be able to get something for him from a team that needs a backup QB. We wouldn't get much, but it's time to move on from him and start over. Quinn and Stanzi can see out the rest of the year and show what they can do.

Who else could we move? Dorsey can't get on the field due to injury, which hurts our chances of getting anything for him, but maybe after the bye week he'll be back and we can try to showcase him and get something for him.

Breaston isn't young, so maybe he's a candidate too? He's been invisible this year but he did have 60+ catches last year, so maybe we could get something for him.

There isn't too much that can be done right now to try to get this turned around, so we really need to see a couple of trades, and get what we can for some of these guys.

All the other moves that people are demanding right now aren't going to help much in the future-- firing Pioli right now wouldn't do anything-- who takes over in midseason? They wouldn't know anything about the team and the players. If he's gone, it should be done at the end of the year.

Firing Crennell might help the team play better the rest of the season, but right now that is pointless. This season is done. Rather than sack Romeo and hire an interim right now, we might as well play out the string with him in charge. All we have left to gain now is draft position.

In addition to trying to trade whoever won't help next season, we need to be careful with Charles. He's been worked hard this year and we don't need to be wearing him down with 300+ carries in this lost season, and definitely no more 30+ carries in a game, which he's already had twice this year. It would be the best for the team if he went on IR sometime in the next few weeks, but if he's not really injured that won't happen. So we need to cut back on his carries and let the other backs carry it a lot more. Again, it's a win-win, keep him from getting worn down and make it even harder to win a game.
