Thanks for the Warning Woodman

For the past 4 days I have been reading comment after comment here on ArrowheadPride. With the hundreds that I have read, I have blasted quite a few hateful comments of my own, and hence have been issued a warning by Woodman, a moderator I assume.

So I will cut to the chase and get to the point, plus ramble about other things afterward. I apologize to those whom my comments offended. And for the record, I was not at the Ravens game, and I did not catch the part of the game where Cassel was injured. My father called me to tell me. He wasn't boasting. I wasn't boasting either. But as longtime father and son Chiefs fans, we were happy to see Matt Cassel exit the playing field. I was happy to know he would be exiting the playing field. Happy he got hurt, no, happy he wont start Sunday against the Bucs, yes.

It is no secret that in Chiefs Nation 90%+ of us want Cassel to ride the bench. And he should ride the bench. Many of you know about ESPN's QBR ranking system. And for those who don't know, Cassel is one of the 3 worst starting QBs in the league. Before the season even began, we had a damn good football team put together for this year. Everyone expected us to win the division. But no one expected Matt Cassel to play as if this were a PeeWee league. His INTs and fumbles alone have cost us every game. Every game. Not a single team would want Matt Cassel to start for them, so why should we? Do we not have expectations in KC? Do we settle for less or mediocrocy? Is this acceptable? No. Matt Cassel is not acceptable. His play for 5 straight weeks is not acceptable. So why does Scott Pioli and Romeo Crennel feel it is? Is Pioli a dictator over Crennel? Does Crennel need new glasses to see what is happening on the field when Cassel sets foot on it? Why did it take 4 days for Clark Hunt to address the fans? Questions that may never be answered. Speculation. That's all I can do is speculate.

So this coming Sunday against the Bucs will show us what Mr. Popularity Quinn has or doesnt have. Hopefully he blows out the Bucs with 300+ yards passing 3 TD's and our run game knocks up another 200+ rushing. I expect Quinn to play decent. I expect the win. But I hope Quinn blows them out in the air. I would love Crennel to have a reason to keep Quinn starting after the bye week. A win plus Quinn, going into the bye week is a scary thing. Know why? Because after the bye, if Cassel gets the start, and we get blown out, these last 4 days will seem like dream, an illusion. It will mean that our HC and GM are purposely setting our Chiefs up for failure. I am waiting for the day when Matt Cassel can man up and admit his lack of skill is hurting the team. But he wont. His $60m+ ego wont allow that.

So my rant is coming to a close. Stay strong Chiefs fans. Stay focused. Stay diligent. Once Brady Quinn has us "Quinning" (someone else already used Quinning, not my idea, just barrowing), and we defeat the Bucs, we best start praying that God puts a revelation through the mind of Crennel about starting Cassel following the bye week. And as always: GO CHIEFS!!!
