I have been on record defending Matt Cassell, and still think the blame lies w/ Pioli and the fact that Cassell has had as many Offensive Coordinators as he has had seasons in KC.

Clark Hunt and the Chiefs are in a catch 22. Make another QB, coaching or head office change and you are back where you started. Don’t make a change and things could get worse...what to do?

I am beginning to think Pioli is going to have to fall on the sword, he brought in Cassell and the coaching merry go round. He should have never hired Todd Haley, he had no Head Coaching experience. If the fact that our current and past Head Coaches also acted as coordinator is tied to Clark Hunt trying to be thrifty then we are in trouble. This thru two coaching regimes has proved not to work.

Such a shame we have a nucleus of talented exciting players but an equally unexciting paranoid front office.

If I was Clark and things did not improve by mid-season I would clean house and get a head start on yet another regime change. This time however I would look for front office personnel with successful track records and not have a coaching carousel.

My question to you is who do you bring in as GM? Head Coach? QB?

I might get pilloried for this but Carl Peterson doesn’t look so bad now.
