Chiefs' Kendrick Lewis Undergoes Shoulder Surgery
Kendrick Lewis surprised me a little bit when he tweeted last night: "Thank God for today.. I had a successful surgery!"
Surgery? What surgery?
Nick Wright of 610 Sports, who was probably the only one breaking Chiefs news at 1:30 a.m. this morning, reports the surgery is on his shoulder. He suffered the injury last week against the Denver Broncos and had surgery on Wednesday.
Lewis also tweeted out what S Eric Berry did after his injury -- "Minor Setback for a Major Comeback".
We don't know exactly what kind of surgery it was (and even then I'm no doctor) or what the recovery time is like but it is encouraging that this came after the season which means he has plenty of time to recover. The Chiefs will have their offseason workout program later in March and then some OTAs as the spring turns into summer. Before long, it'll be training camp.

Jeez
Secondary might be in shambles.
Berry, Lewis, and Arenas (any news on him???) injured.
Carr might be gone.
Yikes
I'm so overrated, I'm underrated.

But Berry will be back;
Lewis’ doesn’t seem to be that big of a deal. I think we’re resigning Carr, but that’s just gut feeling.
Shoulder surgery can hold you back

Man we just have no idea what these guys go through during the season
No idea he needed surgery and still played a violent game at a high level.
It does say that the injury occurred last week vs. Denver
so it’s not like he played the last 6 games with a bum shoulder – but I still get what you’re saying.

He tweeted and said the surgery was a success.... err go figure
Motivation is a fire from within, if someone else lights it, chances are it will burn briefly
Yea we definitely got a steal when we chose him
Can’t wait to see Lewis and Berry roaming the defensive backfield come September.

agree KLewis and Berry are going to be fun to watch.
If we resign Carr, we could have one of the best secondary in the NFL. Good Luck K Lewis!
so much for that free flow of information we've had from the Chiefs ...

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
This was apparently from the Denver game
So it’s only been 3 days technically – considering he went under the knife yesterday after the injury on Sunday.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Kendrick
Our secondary looks promising for the future, even if they’re beat up right now. The one negative thing I will say is that Lewis may have hurt his shoulder with poor tackling technique, I saw him whiff on too many tackles this year by shying away from contact.
It wasn't that big of a scoop for Nick Wright, as Lewis was tweeting about it last night...
I commented on it in a fanshot at 10pm last night.

Now I just wish...
We’d get some concrete news soon on HC, OC, Bowe & Carr…

And Arenas.
