Mort's view on Peyton
Mort had this to say on Mike and Mike this morning;Peyton is rehabbing and throwing the ball like a maniac. He's working out like crazy, and the nerve in question is actually the nerve connected to the the tricep. So its not a question of whether or not he can take a hit or not,he could have taken a hit in Dec,its just a matter of him gaining the the strength he needs to make the throws he wants!

Humble, I like you "milwaukeechief"............
………..I’m not a huge fan of Mike & Mike, the little guy is a Brady lover and that makes me ill. The big guy was a Eagle and that makes me ill as well.
He is a precision passer, so it’s not going to be easy for him. I think he is a “good” man and I wish him the best.
/no skitzo
The little guy is more of a Sanchez lover.
And all other things Jets.

Sounds like Peyton is determined

Definitely determined
But if the neurons won’t cooperate there’s nothing he can do about it, sadly.

I'm going to stop predicting positive things
Sure there would.
There are $35M reasons to cut him, whether or not he’s able to play in 2012, with another $15M QB coming to the team on draft day. The injury just makes it easier for Irsay to sell it to the fans.

Makes you wonder
If he’d been out with a torn ACL instead, what would the Colts be doing now (assuming they still had the #1 pick)?

again, after the loss to the Dolphins
I turned to my buddy and said, Peyton Manning will be a Chief. I figured Colts would be the winners for the Andrew Luck sweepstakes… Manning would be done with Indy and need a new spot.
Kansas City it is. Not saying KC is the most attractive spot b/c I am a fan, it just is clear as day on paper IMO.
Great players coach in Romeo – similar coaching style to Caldwell/Dungy.
Chiefs have the money to pay him.
Solid fan base.
Weak conference.
Great RB support.
Great young WRs (yes… they are better than SF/NYJ/Wash/Dolphins WR groups)
Solid Defense
Yet to hire a OC (this could, COULD… have a connection with Manning. Never know)
Identical city to Indy.

Also think
Pioli could flat out tell him, we wll get Oline support. We will hit the FA market for a guy and draft a OT/OG w/ the 1st pick.
Also, QBs make Olines better. Manning would instantly make the oline stronger by educating them, leadership, and with his style of play (not holding onto the ball).

Hell, let Peyton hand pick his OC.
An OC in a PeyPey offense is just a figure head anyways.

Exactly!
I believe in the same thing, I always said that Peyton manning makes too much sense to come to KC. maybe its the Joe Montana situation all over again but I firmly believe that we are a great QB away from doing something very very special. IF we do get peyton I guarantee that we get an Offensive lineman to help protect him. the fans have been calling for pioli to make a splash somewhere this offseason. also with the season tickets being a rough market for the chiefs they have to make this move.

going by the Jason Cole story, and reports from Peter King and Gil Brandt, it's looking more and more like retirement
