Pro Bowl Preview
The Pro Bowl. Are you pumped and ready for some hard-hitting NFL action? Me either, but this is what we have while we wait for next week's Super Bowl. Sunny and a high of 75 degrees. Must be nice. But at least it's football. Professional football, or a close facsimile thereof, and so we'll watch it, and perhaps see a few interesting plays, and who knows, we might even catch glimpse of a future Chiefs player, depending on how free agency turns out.
One new twist is that this will be the first Pro Bowl to have two rookie QB's - Andy Dalton in for Tom Brady, and Cam Newton replacing Eli Manning. Other notables include our old friend Tony Gonzalez, Ray Lewis, Ryan Mathews, Champ Bailey and more, more more. Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees will also be on display, as will (local) fan favorites Philip Rivers and Stevie Johnson. And our own Derrick Johnson might even make an appearance.
Any favorite players? Favorite memories? Tell us about it here. And check out this awesome Fanshot about a very special "blast from the past" Pro Bowl (H/T - Tarkus)
We'll have an open thread later as we near game time.
For those interested in watching the game online, check out this link.

What?
Peyton Manning isn’t in the Pro Bowl?
Is he hurt or something?
It is time to anoint the Stanzi. He is The One.
vaguely heard something about that, a neck sprain maybe?
I’ll look into it and see if I can find a little more information about it, thanks for the tip :-)

Is Carl Nicks wearing a Chiefs helmet today?
Because from all the talk around here, it might as well be a done deal. You know because of our history of getting big free agents and spending 10+M$/year on interior lineman.

While not an interior linemen...
we did get that Roaf guy from them who played pretty well for us.

Chiefs fans Super Bowl
We know the team win the AFC Championship, so we hope for a few individual players making the Pro Bowl.

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Have a good time man!
But there was no way I was ponying up those prices for an exhibition game, plus traffic is always ridiculous on game day down there. Would be nice to see dj and gamba though… Sigh.

off topic but i saw an article on rotoworld
talking about breaston being disappointing. Also said the chiefs will keep him because they probably don’t wanna take a hit, also that his position will be up for competition. Maybe im crazy. but wasn’t he our 2nd best receiver last year ?
Yep and he had the second best statistical year of his career with crap and crapier throwing him the ball.
The only thing he might be disappointed with is that Haley was a big reason why he signed and now he’s gone.

thought so too.
the article was basically talking about how bad he was and his YAC was the worst of his career. haha not a whole lot to talk about after the season untill after the superbowl when the real fun starts.
If I'm remembering right
There was a story about him last week that said he was top 5 in drops(the good stat) last year.

i like him
he definitely had some great plays in some games. if we had a line and a QB he would be a Great 2nd or 3rd receiver.
Could both be true?
Maybe im crazy. but wasn’t he our 2nd best receiver last year
Do we go fetal and beg for mercy? Or do we pick up that broken piece of pipe laying on the ground and come up swinging? I choose pipe.
Sober (again) since January 10th, 2011.
