@dbk301: This mean Daboll to KC?
@JasonLaCanfora: i would expect Daboll to have every shot in the world to be KC's OC
We shall see. Brian Daboll's name has been thrown around before.

Will they finally throw Daboll down the field?

not sure about him just talk, i think al saunders or hue jackson gets the job
will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.
Saunders is staying in Oakland imo,
and Jackson will get an OC job, but not here… If Pioli has any say (and he does) the OC will be someone who could potentially replace Crennel. I don’t see Jackson as that guy.
sooner or later, God'll cut you down...
I'd be ok with Daboll
Seems like a smart enough guy with some good experience. He had Miami’s offense moving in the right direction toward the end of this past season.
While I’d prefer someone like Hue Jackson, I think Daboll would be a good hire.
I agree...
Also just rad that and if it’s all true the guy appears to be a prick. No one has ever liked him at any team (players) and it’s not like he’s lit the world on fire. If we do what I PREY we do and draft a QB I don’t was this turd messing with his confidence. I don’t care if McCoy is soft or if RG3 is > McCoy. Getting that kind of excessive (even for an NFL rookie) abuse can’t help.
Chiefs will...

Here's another Daboll-ism
This guy is bad news.

I HOPE this doesnt happen....
Our Fail Muir offence was bad enough, now we are hiring the ex browns/dolphins OC… has fail written all over it.
i think it was the failed haley offense

Dolphins did average 25 pts per game
Last 9 games and he is undefeated at Arrowhead (2009 Browns). Just like Romeo should we hold it against him that he failed in Cleveland?
Carpe Diem
TX, do we agree on something? That's really odd.
I’ve been thinking about Daboll for some time…has prior experience in NE (so he’s good for Pioli) and prior experience in the Coryell offensive system with New York…
Only letdown is his treatment of Colt McCoy in CLE. But how do we know that story is totally true or not?
It’ll be interesting to see…

Um
And Heath Evans, who had worked with Daboll in NE, said last year when Miami hired him that the Dolphins probably got worse because of it. Didn’t have much good to say about the guy at all.

Fair enough. Its not like there's a huge book of evidence on the guy. Plus, he's young as hell compared to some folks we've talked to (Sherman).
Heath Evans has said a couple of interesting things since retiring. Not sure what I make of him as a source, just like I don’t always take Yahoo columns as gospel (they love to stir shit up). Those are the two main sources of anti-Dabollness.
Of course, they could be spot on and we could be hiring a nobody with zero skills.
For me, proof’s in pudding and once MIA got their QB situation down and figured out what Moore could do, their offense looked solid to good most of the time.
McCoy, Heath Evans may hate Daboll….maybe others dig the guy….I dunno. It could go either way.

The good? news is
the Chiefs’ offense has sucked so bad since Vermeil left, it won’t take a lot to get most Chiefs fans excited. I’ll gladly take average.

Idc who the o.c is as long as they value their job and will tell pioli/crennel cassel is no good
The offense can be amazing if they use playaction like they did at the end of the year. I’m a big fan of getting someone from the Texans organization.. Anyway…. Upgrade the ol and get some depth at the te and rb positions and the offense will be just find. I hope we go into the season with everyone healthy and cassel in charge so they see how awful he is. INJURY THEN BOOM STANZI COMES IN

Maybe Schaub, Foster and A. Johnson.
That’d work!

I don't know much about Brian Daboll
But what information I can find on him is less than impressive….
Same here...
From everything I’ve found on the guy I’d be pretty OK with passing on him.

This is not a good thing!
If you google Brian Daboll, then you will find that many former players of his don’t like him.
Heath Evans played for Daboll for two years in NE and said this when he was hired by the Dolphins last year: "The Dolphins probably just got worse," Evans answered. "You know I’m always going to shoot you straight. . . . When he was in New England, he was never a guy that I would have considered the brains of the operation."

Daboll is the yell and cuss type of coach. This is what he said about Colt McCoy in Cleveland: Several Browns recalled a meeting early in the 2010 season in which Daboll told McCoy, "I just watched [tape of] your last college game, and you were terrible. What the hell were you throwing out there? That was one of the worst games I’ve ever seen. Why the [expletive] did we draft you?" http://www.waitingfornextyear.com/2011/11/yahoo-article-details-brian-dabolls-rough-rookie-treatment-of-colt-mccoy/
Sorry he just doesn’t sound like a good coach to me, he doesn’t have a good track record and if he is hired to run the entire offense while Romeo handles the defense then we will more than likely be saying goodby to Pioli, Romeo, Cassel and Daboll in three years….

Thing is, Haley has former players like Keyshawn and Fitz singing his praises
Daboll just has almost nothing but negative reviews from players everywhere he’s coached.
Bask in the glory that is Kwame Harris. Poor Alex...
Did anyone read war room?
Wasn’t this the guy that had his bags packed by the time he got back from the probowl? Apparently he was kinda a prick when mcdaniels was getting more attention than he was. Surprising that pioli would hire him given the bad blood between him and BB.

Pioli hasn't hired him yet.
It’s not even a rumor. Just someone speculating on what could happen.

Is it April Fools Day?
The guys offense was ranked lower than ours. This would be an absolute bomb. I’ve said before that I am not voting Pioli off the island, but if this happens I am definitely lighting my torch.

HELL NO!! This guy became a joke in the Cleveland locker room among their players.

Asked about Daboll on an NFL forum with several Dolphins fans and the responses were pretty disheartening.
Pretty sure this guy is trouble.
I'd rather start the year with the same staff
than bring in Daboll. At least we would have continuity and have room to improve. I believe Daboll would disrupt the good players we have and the O would suffer under his sort of leadership.
I’m sure that while doing his due diligence Romeo has interviewed him, but Daboll’s type of personality sounds like a huge clash with Romeo’s.
Seriously, do we WANT the guy?
I don’t think I do. I admittedly don’t know much about him, but any guy that is OC at Cleveland and then Miami doesn’t inspire a lot of confidence. If it is this guy or Muir…hate to say it, but I say stick with Muir. At least we know what we’re getting with him. Hate to change things up, bring in something new and get the same old shit.
THIS GUY IS AWFUL
