Kansas City Chiefs college scouting director Phil Emery is up for the Chicago Bears general manager job, which became open when the team decided to fire Jerry Angelo after the season.
As we've noted, the search process initially included five candidates -- Emery, Jason Licht (Patriots), Marc Ross (Giants), Jimmy Raye (Chargers) and Tim Ruskell (Bears).
And we're now down to two candidates -- Licht and Emery.
Licht's interview is taking place at Halas Hall today and Emery is interviewing tomorrow, according to several Chicago-area reports.
So we'll wait to see if he gets this. GM Scott Pioli has had very good things to say about Emery in various Chicago media outlets.
