Listening To Cat Stevens And Reading A Book
Roommate’s moving and since he pays the utilities he’s paring down so we no longer have cable. I’m experimenting with only using Netflix and Hulu instead of getting cable TV.
It can work

Or kidnapped...
2012 Chiefs Draft Picks by Falcon58: G DeCastro 1st round, NT Ta'amu 2nd round or OT Adcock 2nd/3rd round, TE Egnew 3rd round, RB Ganaway 5th/6th, QB Case Keenum 5th/6th. Resign: Carr, Bowe, Orton, McClain, Gordon(in that order). Trade Dorsey for picks, promote Gordon to DT/DE.
Question to anyone
The previous post was about current NFL rules and suggested changes. Regarding the slide rule, does anyone know the rule protects any player taking a snap? Say a team has a wide receiver that they put at QB for a few plays, or WR that works out of the wildcat formation, does that player get the same rule protection? If a WR takes a reverse and then steps back to throw it, no one is open, so instead runs it and decides to slide because he is a pussy, does that qualify as a QB slide since he was, technically, the QB for that play?
I’d ask this on the other post, but it hasn’t had anyone on in a few hours and figured no one would respond.
Interesting question
I’m looking around, but can’t find anything. Since a Wildcat QB wouldn’t be on the depth chart as a QB, I’d guess it wouldn’t protect a WR/RB taking a snap, but you would think it should.

Looks like the rule applies to everyone
Just RB/WR/TE try to get the extra yard, while QBs try not to get hurt.

Without reading this link(but i will) i tend to agree
The slide rule was put into effect in order to protect the more fragile players. The reason for the not having to tackle them is because they’re unprotected, and in a somewhat unnatural position. It’s mainly so they don’t get killed.
That being said: As a player/coach on the other team, if a ball carrier wants to halt his advance…I’m OK with that.

I dont think it matters what the depth chart says
Only how your lined up on the field. A lineman can be an eligible receiver downfield for example
Do we go fetal and beg for mercy? Or do we pick up that broken piece of pipe laying on the ground and come up swinging? I choose pipe.

Thanks for the input!
I’m one of those people that is always curious about exceptions to the rule.
So Raiders just hired Broncos Allen as their new coach.
Bwahahaha. I think they both just got worse.
Really?
The Bronco defense is the reason they got as far as they did. Much as it pains me to write it, the Donkeys played very well on that side of the ball, subjecting us all to Tebowmania. I have no idea if Dennis Allen can be a head football coach, but I would not be so quick to dismiss him.

raiders??? defensive minded???
is that before or after committing 1,000 penalties within a season
Allen is a good DC. But the Raiders didn't gain a good DC, they gained an untried HC.

Interesting Thing About The Hire
It’s the first defensive guy they’ve hired as a head coach since Madden. Ever since Madden, Al Davis followed a very set pattern in his hiring…offensive coordinator type followed by an offensive line coach, followed by an offensive coordinator type, followed by an offensive line coach, etc. They actually broke a very long pattern by hiring a DC.
Admittedly I am hoping he tries to fit the square peg into Oaklands round hole.
I think he will make them more disciplined, but as a first time head coach he is going to try to change a lot. Oakland players haven’t adjusted well to that. He doesn’t have the same personnel he did in Denver, that group is going to be reaching. Now if we can poach Al that whole team will be in flux.

Breaking Bad
is one of the best written shows I’ve ever seen. My favorite scene is when Walt spends fifteen minutes just talking in the basement with Crazy 8. Incredible stuff.
