Some of us have been calling this
Dude is a chump. Its easy to be a “winner” when you’re beating up on a bunch slow white guys.

it’s yet to be seen if Burfict is one of those guys
And if he is, how cool would it be to have one of those guys, and if he aint we now have dept behind siler. or who ever
It was obvious dept wont hurt this team.

you've probably seen him play more than I have
but, why has he been benched so much?
seems like if he can’t get on the field in college… he’s not likely to pull a Matt Cassel in the pros :)
Wasn't aware he missed a lot of games.
Dude started 12 games this year. If he was getting benched it was probably to keep him from ripping a guy’s head off.

Sounds like a guy I'd want
Vontaze Burfict is one of the better inside linebacker prospects to come out in a few years. He has the size, strength, range and athleticism to be an every-down linebacker at the next level.
This Arizona State product really excels at tackling and working his way through traffic to find the ball-carrier. At 6’3" and 250, he can take on blockers, disengage, and work up the middle. He has enough speed and lateral quickness to be effective in underneath zone coverage

another guy's opinion
http://www.bleedinggreennation.com/2012/1/14/2707736/vontaze-burfict-the-follow-up
Football Issues: Vontaze’s biggest problem, ahead of everything else is that he cannot get off blocks, fundamentally he isn’t a good football player. That is going to kill him at the NFL level. Supreme Athletes in the NFL also have the best fundamentals. Vontaze’s style of play is best described as “aim and shoot,” he has very little control on the field. This year he did start trying to cut pulling guards, but it was some pathetic effort. If he put the time in, he could get off blocks, but he has had no desire to get better while at ASU. He’s a worse player today than he was his first game as a freshman, he has developed terrible habits and hasn’t become a fundamentally sound football player. If he plans on being a starting middle linebacker in the NFL he is going to have to learn how to get off blocks. I doubt he bothers to learn; this guy literally doesn’t give a shit.
He also isn’t a sound tackler. He does not wrap up, he just goes for kill shots. The last thing I want on the Eagles is another defensive player who can’t tackle.

and another
01/03/12 – Burfict is explosive. He can rock ball-carriers in the hole, is particularly adept rushing the quarterback and plays with a ferocity that could quickly make him a fan favorite. As you’ll read in our official NFLDraftScout.com profile for Burfict, there are plenty of aspects about his game that translate well to the next level. However, he has been prone to immature behavior that has cost his team penalties at critical stages of games throughout his career. He’s not as instinctive as his reputation might lead you to believe, has a soft build and hasn’t shown any real improvement since first stepping onto the ASU campus. As such, he’s currently ranked third in our rankings of inside linebacker prospects. Quite frankly, I think he’s as overrated a prospect as there is in the country. He may prove me wrong. He certainly has talent to do so. However, Burfict won’t soon get added to my ranking of the top 32 prospects in the draft. Burfict, in fact, wouldn’t make my list if the Big Board contained twice as many players. – Rob Rang, NFLDraftScout.com

The times I've seen Burfict benched, it's been mid-game.
He made a few plays against Mizzou, didn’t really look like Superman though. The other two games I saw of AZ State’s, Burfict was in time-out on the bench. He didn’t start those games like that, he did something to piss Erickson off mid-game. One was a very tight game where he got benched right toward the end, and they lost.

And trent dilfer was saying how he loves foles. He says he has great accuracy, throws his wr’s open, and has more natural talent than anybody in the draft. He guarenteed he will go in the 1st. The first quote reminds me "Moneyball"
“he just throws weird. The ball spins differently. He just isn’t the prototypical QB.” If this article would have been nothing but quotes like this from scouts, I would have started the “draft Kellen Moore” campaign loud and proud.
Unfortunately, they get into more details, and surprisingly, his accuracy (which I thought was a strength) is bad. Sounds like a case of a QB not transitioning out of the offense that he is comfortable with.

Why, this is nothing more than the bias against Boise State, Mormans, Skinheads and spuds!
I live in Idaho! So what if he looks 12 and is built more like a cheerleader than a QB. Isn’t that some type of discrimination? Can’t the Civil Liberties Union step in and demand he be drafted in the first round? This is obviously a conspriacy. Next, they will demand his Birth Certificate! East Coast bias! Maine also claims to have better spuds than Idaho. See a pattern here? Time for Idaho to succeed from the Union!

2012 Senior Bowl: Kellen Moore Bounces Back From A Poor Start
"Be an analyst. Don’t be a douchebag." - Terrell Suggs to Skip Bayless
The article also makes mention...
that Kirk Cousins was looking good out there… I know that there are plenty out here that are Cousins fans.
Go Chiefs!!!!
I've read just as much negative about Cousins too
that’s the problem with Senior Bowl coverage… conflicting opinions
Cousins was the only one of these QBs I've seen play in multiple games
and I thought he showed a lot of promise. To my untrained eye, Cousins looks to have way more potential than Stanzi did coming out of college. I know the Stanzi/Iowa fans around here will hate that, but Cousins looks more poised, made better decisions, threw more passes, completed a higher percent of his passes (>60% every year), and threw more TDs and fewer INTs than Stanzi.
The biggest problem is that what once looked like a deep QB class, has become very thin. Meaning Cousins could go in the 3rd round. If we can get him in the 4th, we should do it (I think we’ll be looking for a TE in the 3rd).
I believe Kellen Moore
will be good enough to adjust quickly. He hasn’t played much under center and hasn’t had a lot of time to build chemistry with his receivers. I hope the Chiefs take him in the 4th or 5th round to compete with Stanzi for number 2 QB, and give him somme first team reps if he does beat out Stanzi.

Do you think he will not be drafted
A fifth is nothing. The guy will be 29 next year has a great arm, ideal size, and is smart. Best case scenario he comes in and lights it up and we have a franchise qb for 8 years. Worst case, you wast a 5th rounder that normally isn’t on the team in 2-3 years anyway.
All I see is upside.
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
He will be taken 3rd or later for a team who needs a back up
He can learn and be spot duty without the pressure, no team will spend a high pick on an old QB who may only give them a few years.. which is not the answer in todays NFL. Coaches/GM do not have long enough to keep using 2-3 year projects
