Skip Bayless can be a douchebag
I think he and Colin Cowherd should be forced to get into the Octagon and fight to the death (or tap out).

I prefer death to tap out.

Finish HIM !!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have a catchy, catch phrase.
Can it be a threeway with Chris Collinsworth?

Wouldn't Tebow get in the way?

That's the last time I want to hear/see "Collinsworth" and "Three-way"
in the same sentence.
by Ochophosphate on Jan 23, 2012 1:22 PM CST up reply actions 2 recs
At least Cowherd’s knowledgeable about some things. Skip’s always a clown. I’m with GB, Collinsworth needs to be involved at some point. I’m past my disgust for Phil Simms. Now I just shake my head at the ridiculous shit he says.
"Hater" is a term used by weak-minded people in the face of legitimate criticism.
knowledgeable about how to pimp yourself out and have no real stances or ideas?
totally agree
by LHO on Jan 23, 2012 1:08 PM CST up reply actions 1 recs
I can tolerate Cowherd
some of his rants make me chuckle and I don’t care how fickle he is.
We always mention it as well – but I don’t mind peepin Beadles on SportsNation.

You know what they say - even a broken clock is right twice a day.
Every once in a while, I’ll happen to hear cowherd as I’m going to lunch and he’ll actually have a point. Most of the time, though, he’s just a flapping jaw.

I don't know man... Bayless has gotten really bad.

Cowherd at least makes me laugh WITH him from time to time
I rarely find Skip humorous… unless laughing AT him.

Suggs has a new fan here.

Ditto
this has to be the best ESPN interview I’ve seen in awhile. Thank you Suggs for saying something most of us all thought.

No kidding
Absolutely perfect way to cut Skip Bayless off. Brilliant.

"Now now, watch your language, Terrell."
That’s it Skip… shame him! Dumbass.

especially African American ones? Surely not!

here too... it was like watching Suggs lead a lamb to be sheared...
and bayless always did remind me of a little poodle dog with all his hair cut off.

I saw some of Skip's tweets after the Giants at Niners game
Skip was saying he wasn’t surprised the Niners lost. That he never felt Alex Smith could carry the team in the 4th qtr. That Alex Smith wasn’t good enough, etc. etc. This after all he did was blow up Tebow for weeks. Tebow was nothing but super talented and a winner. We ALL know Alex Smith may not have lived up to his 1st round pick, but he’s a heck of a lot more talented than Tebow at the QB position.
Tarkus – agreed. T-Sizzle gained a new fan in me as well and many thanks to him for finally calling out Skip for what he is.

well he done in the nfl....thats almost certain
its like hank baskett…..there is a guy who could still be in th enfl as a special teams guy, but messed up the hands team in the biggest game of his life and made himself only useful to the other team
williams will follow baskett into the unemployment line(i like hank baskett, good guy, seems like a caring father, so im not going there, just saying on a playing level )

Yet if the 49ers had Tim Tebow instead of Alex Smith they would be heading to the Super Bowl.
Mock interpretation of a futuristic conversation by Skip Bayless…
Go Chiefs!!!!

Early in the season when Orton was still in Denver they lost a close game
and Bayliss said the next day that Tebow would have “won that game with his trash talking and his swagger.” That’s quite possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. How can people with such a limited amount of sports knowledge get that far up the broadcasting food chain?

As did Suggs
If you can’t say anything intelligent, say something dumb REAL LOUD so people pay attention to you.
Haha
That’s awesome. Suggs told Bayless what many players/fans think about him straight up. Good for you Suggs…

Anyone hear Cowheard this morning?
The guy went on a rant about how all good QB’s just know how to win and then LITERALLY THE NEXT SECOND he flipped and said how much better Flacco was than Tebow because you have to look past W’s and L’s because they aren’t always in their control because of the weapons around them THEN THE VERY NEXT SECOND he went on to rant about how the QB’s make the weapons, not the other way around.
It was quite remarkable how he contradicted himself 3 times in less than 2 minutes.

I think it just varies
Plug anybody into New England, or New Orleans or Indy when Peyton had a neck that could move and they are instantly a threat. The same cannot be said of other teams and in some instances it is debatable over who is making whom look good.
People say Montana wouldn’t have been nearly as good without Rice and the weapons around him.
People say Marino would have won a title (or many) if he had a team around him that matched his ability.
How much was Newton helped by Steve Smith going batshit this year?
How much was Gabbert hurt by not having a legitimate receiving threat on the entire roster other than MJD?
Does Newton on Jacksonville do what he did in Carolina?
I personally think the QB elevates those around him rather than the other way around… but I suppose arguments can be made for either.

I can't listen to him.
His voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

+1
He needs to stick to writing. Has no voice for radio, and no face for TV. Only guy who’s voice is more grating than Cowerd’s in my opinion is Nick Wright.
These sports media guys that have never competed a day in their lives are just despicable.

If Suggs was in studio it would have been a “Chris Everett” moment and Skip would have got his skinny ass kicked!
