How many Super Bowls have the Giants and Patriots been in since we last won a playoff game? How may conference championships? Chiefs management should be embarassed - you too Carl Peterson since you had the baton most of the time. Scott Pioli, as Michael Jackson used to sing "...show me what you can do!"
Look at the Giants....draft choices and a bunch of nobody free agents. Patriots, same thing, along with one key free agent signing who wasn't good enough for the Chiefs anymore. Congrats Brian Waters on getting to the Super Bowl. Oh, guess what, both teams have great QBs. Other than Trent Green, we haven't had a great QB since Lenny.
Get with it Chiefs.

myself, I dont’ care if it’s a fanpost, or fanshot, front page, back page. It amazes me, how many people are so anal, about this kind of stuff. This is a site for Chief fans to say what they want, and to let others hear their ideas. I know I’ll probably get gril;led over commenting on this, but who cares. It’s just laughable, how many of you, think you’re better than everyone else. I’m a dumbass, with no education. I don’t have very good writing skills, but I love the Chiefs. I’ve never made a fanshot, or post, because I’m not good. But I’m glad others do, and when they do they get grilled for not doing it correct. Good god, what has everything come to. Go Chiefs

isn’t that what Pioli’s doing? you make some great points here … so if Joel wants to run his website in a particular way it’s wrong, but if Pioli wants to run One Arrowhead Drive a particular way it’s ok

I have written 1 fanpost and have 1500+ comments. You can make your points in comments that is what they are for. Fanposts are for points that can’t be summed up in 2 or 3 sentences. That is why there is a word limit. If you have a opinion that is 5 sentences long, write it into a thread already made as there are plenty on this exact topic. We would love to read your opinion.

Detailed stats are required? So, since the Chiefs last won a playoff game in 1994, the Giants have been to the Super Bowl 3 times, and the Patriots 6 times. Please let me know if dates, stadiums, starting QBs and attendance numbers are also required to make the point.

I believe most of us had already come to the conclusion that neither of them would be the Chiefs. And this will surprise you- lots of people here have already pointed out Kansas City’s lull in playoff wins.

is there any chance that the rules for fanposts can be changed to like 500 or 1000 words. Or maybe make it to where you have to submit the post and one of the moderators has to approve it before it makes it to front page of this site

he put so much time and effort into this for it not to on the front page for fanposts, I mean he had to of spent like ten minutes on it

drop one or both an eamil and ask … my guess (just a guess) is that it can NOT be done, as the “format” is the same over all of SBNation (which like 80 Bazillion sites)

To see if this is an issue on other blogs on SB. If other blogs have people who get upset over this , or have short fanposts like this yadda yadda. I’m all for getting the rules changed, but until they are what can you do. P.S it should be a 1,000 word limit

We have MANY MANY MANY more views than 90% of the SBnation blogs which is a blessing and a curse.
I am happy this is a popular website, but with popularity should come more moderation to both keep the community friendly and inviting to newcomers, but to also keep the quality of content that led to the community and newcomers in the first place.
Veteran posters are perhaps unfriendly towards short fanposts, and this is as much a problem as the fanposts themselves. Both can be solved with more moderation (without taking away the freedom of speech we all enjoy).
Also, a note to the newcomers. Write a accurate well-reasoned fan post complete with pictures, stats and graphs and enjoy Arrowhead Prides Celebrity status where vets will heap praise on your shoulders and maybe even get featured on the front page! It’s all within your grasp, you just have to reach out and take it!
Or be Craig and write something silly in canadian and watch it get recced to heaven and back.

Trent Green was our only great QB since Lenny, I dont know where you get that from. We have had several QB’s better than Trent Green, the Chiefs havnt done very good keeping them or they were only with us a few years.for whatever reason. But Montana, Gannon,Kreig and Deberg are just a few.
And Peterson wasnt here for most of the time but I think he did a very good job considering how cheap Lamar was, a hell of a lot better than Piolli has done. I do agree with the organization should be ashamed. Their unwillingness to put money back into team has been this teams downfall for years, I think Clark is proving to be a chip off the old block in that respect. All we can do is wait for the mandatory cap to take affect and hope that Hunt dont find some way to get out of it.
If a top quality QB is not a #1 Priority, this team is doomed to never win a Super Bowl.
Here is Miami’s attitude about their Coach and QB and an obvious reason why someone like Fisher and other top coaches might not want to come to KC.

I’ve been a fan of this team for over 40 years and I like the young talent that is here but if there is not some big improvement in QB, the most we’ll ever do is maybe win a weak division and maybe, if we’re lucky, even win a playoff game. But doubtful, and year after year, the playoffs prove that you have to have a good QB to consistantly win. If mediocrity is what you are satisfied with, that’s what you have. I’m just hoping and waiting to see something that would indicate that they will improve the QB situation. The fans can make a difference and I’ve seen all of the empty seats. We’ll just see what happens while all around us, other teams are really making an effort to improve, especially the coach and QB positions.
This is the year Pioli must hit a home run with the draft and free agency.
If we do not take the West and make it into the playoffs, Pioli will be looking for a new job. His first three drafts have not been great and basically no free agents to speak of.

All i can say is hopefully Pioli and upper management realize that they were completely wrong
and are blowing wind up schefters ass so we can a make a drastic QB move.. But my gut feeling is Pioli will once again run with Cassel just so he doesn’t have to admit failure.
but if Cassel is our starter AND we look bad ... wouldn't that be evidence enough? ;-)

its sad when everyone else knows( except MR. EGOTISTICAL pioli) this is our weakest link and possibly be the one thing to hold this team back during a opportunity for the taking, dont get me wrong the guy is a glass ass dude, but that alone doesnt win you a SB. We need a QB that can take it on his shoulders and win games. Period!
