In the 2011 offseason free agency period the San Francisco 49ers let Aubrayo Franklin depart for the New Orleans Saints. The 49ers did that for a reason.
In two games this postseason Franklin posted one tackle. On the season Franklin had 17 total tackles. He was what some would call a bust for the Saints after coming off of impressive seasons with the 49ers.

I'd rather take Shaun Rogers
He’d also come cheap & Romeo has already gotten some good work from him. That & he’s 6’4" 350lbs.
Predictions:
I'm going to stop predicting positive things
yep, I'm good either way
that’s why I won’t be surprised if Pioli passes on NTs in the draft.
Romeo can do a lot with guys like this (Shaun Smith, Gordon)
i wonder who our reclamation project wil be this year. Crennel is 2 for 2
I wonder if Shaun Smith gets cut.

I'm really thinking Shaun Rogers is a real possibillity
He’s all ready got the Romeo ties, and there were rumors we went after him last season. Could be a great pick up.
32
not too bad we could probably squeeze a year or two out of him

Unless Powe makes major strides to improvement this offseason we'll need someone.
Not sure Aubrayo is the guy but we need someone to fill that hole.
"Give them nothing! But take from them everything!"
people are down on him for not playing
but, I think the team was happy to “red-shirt” him, considering they really only keep 1 active “pure-NT” on game day, and Gregg played reasonably well
Yep...
It was more about playing time than anything(I hope) It would be hard to justify sitting Bailey or any situational guy for Powe… A year learning from Gregg and a year of NFL diet/weights should make him so much better…
What a year! At least we have the Royals... Oh Wait!
He just needs to eat up blocks
isn’t that the standard excuse given for under-performing Chiefs d-lineman?
Standing on the corner in a white Godfather hat. He drives a long black gangster Cadillac. He can steal a broads mind, man, in three or four minutes. It’s not how long you talk, brother, it’s what you put in it.
