I think we, the Chief's and Scotty Pioli, should use Free Agency predominantly to fix the offensive line and use the draft to address specific needs and depth. I feel that signing some NFL experienced lineman who start immediately, gets more bang for the buck than by using the draft. Using the Draft versus Free Agency as in how we obtain talent.
Of course there is exceptions to the rule, especially as our pick is in the pre-teens, early enough to have an incredibly talented player who could fall into our laps. Could we pass a top CB? or WR, or RB, or etc? Or yes, even an O-lineman. Since we will have Free Agency before the Draft we may get a peak into the HOW Scott and staff are approaching this offseason.
I would like to discuss strategy and philosophy the front office uses, or what we think they think. Just had a well written post about tall WR's killing our secondary and what we need to do to address it defensively that was as good of discussion as I've seen lately. So do you think we ought to already have tried to fix the o-line with free agents before the draft?
