i would take herm as a secondary coach thats where he belongs but

I think clark still paying him to sit at talk at espn

will the chiefs ever draft a Qb in the first round, not since todd blackledge in 83. and the chiefs could of had marino. OH well atleast 65 toss power trap worked for KC, it should be wide open red. Hank stram still the man.

I'd hire him as a DB scout

I don’t like him in any coaching position but DB coach might be worth a try if Thomas wasn’t so good at it.

by Wait and See on Jan 2, 2012 8:21 PM CST up reply actions

wait wait wait, I'm confused. If luck is considered one of the best throwing QB

then why doesn’t he throw it? say for 50+ yards?

hell even cassel can handle the ball off

You mean like

Joe Montana did? Do you realize, Luck is doing this with really no skilled players with any speed?

Are you saying that because of his position or his ability?

As in is WR overhyped in general or do you not think he’s very good?

1st round WR in general are overhyped and he's an overhyped WR

Double Whammy.

Don't know about all that

Hes got future top 5 WR written all over him

I said he's got it written all over him

Doesn’t mean he is one yet, he’s got everything you’d want out of a top 5 WR, just needs to clear up the drops that really haven’t been to much of a problem

Me and Matt Cassel just - you up, dog!

by ChiefWarPaint on Jan 2, 2012 8:38 PM CST up reply actions

Much more athletic then bowe, faster too and I think he might be a little bigger

Better hops and body control too

Hands are an issue but not that bad of one, got better throughout the year.

I can't speak to overrated as I don't follow college football as closely as some

But most overhyped in any draft? Seems about the same level of hype Reggie Bush was getting from what I remember.

He seemed fine against Dennard today.

Motivation is the key with Alshon. It’ll take the right coach and he will be permanent beastmode.

Character issues?

He’s way more of a physical freak then Baldwin and believe it or not even better ball skills. He needs to work some on route running and like I said motivation can be a factor, but give him a real QB and look out.

"Give them nothing! But take from them everything!"

by GenericBrand on Jan 2, 2012 8:32 PM CST up reply actions

Jeffrey won’t have to deal with those 15-yard chucks in the NFL.

Not like Connor Shaw who will only throw it if you’re completely wideopen.

Manning will be released before March 31.

I thought he would probably do the Colts a favor by moving back the deadline for his 28 million bonus, but that doesn’t happen with Polian getting the axe. He doesn’t move it, and the Colts will have to release him (unless someone trades, which no one will when he can’t pass a physical).

Yes, I can walk lol

I had surgery that night, Titanium rod put in my leg, two plates, four screws. It was a bad deal. Didnt scream though, too much adrenaline from playing I guess. Tried to get up and walk off the field, but when I went to plan my leg, it wasnt there. I havnt seen the McCaffrey injury, so I couldnt tell you. It was almost like the Packers O-lineman that got rolled up on against us, only I was rushing the passer, and the lineman fell on my leg.

Building around one player is a horrible idea

One reason I’m glad we have a GM from the Patriots “next man up” school of thought. The Polians deserved to get canned. Tom Brady went down for the Patriots and that team didn’t become the laughingstock of the league.

I’m only sorry Peyton didn’t sit out a season years ago to expose them and get a GM who could put better talent around him. Seriously how do you not win more championships with Peyton Manning?

I think for us to move up, we'd have to offer something other teams can't.

We’d get outbid in draft picks and/or unproven players. So we’d have to offer proven vets that St. Louis can use.

Yeah, when the ref winds his arm.

Because the previous play was tackled in bounds. The clock stops to move the chains, but starts again when the ref indicates they’re ready to go.

spiking with 2 secs left= noob. and if you are spiking, put the ball down immediately

don’t pull the ball back, raise it up, and then spike it

spike it on the handoff

by Chiefshero on Jan 2, 2012 10:54 PM CST up reply actions

It was silly

He pulled it all the way back to spike it down. Just throw it straight down like the good QBs do in the NFL. If they claim its a fumble, they’ll go to the tape and see it wasn’t.

by Wait and See on Jan 2, 2012 10:55 PM CST up reply actions

again college, they're not pro bowl

that wisconsin QB will probably rate lower in the draft because of the failed spike…

shall the chiefs pick him up? I sure hope so

paulino could bust out, but i hate watching him

too inconsistent. chen just wasn’t worth the money the gave him. he’s okay, but 2 years was a mess.

he has 24 wins in 2 years

that’s more than any other player

I’m not sure what chen has but he’s good at it

he has a lot of junk that he throws

which induces poor contact. he’s not terrible, but nothing to be excited about.

everybody was losing

when chen came back, he was the only one winning. That’s why I like chen. He’s consistent (except a few days)

by Chiefshero on Jan 2, 2012 11:14 PM CST up reply actions

pitching wins are a pretty bad statistic

he got a lot of wins despite giving up 4 runs in 5+ innings. chen is a fine 5th starter, just don’t see why the royals didn’t sign someone else like him and gain a draft pick.

by BeauJackson on Jan 2, 2012 11:16 PM CST up reply actions

because FA would cost more and they're too inconsistent

i.e. francis. Top prospect and potential

"best player"

depends on a lot of things. Position for one. But if you just go “best athlete” it’s hard to make a case for Luck over RGIII. If “QB” is the only consideration… well, you get my point.

lots of people tell me

some guy named richardson is the best player. Others say Blackmon. Some say Rief, but he’s a redneck with corn growing out his truck.

I hate college OT, but I'm hoping for it here.

So that's the reason Cassel sucks?

Really?

The number one pick in the draft can’t throw the ball with the game on the line and get it in the end zone in college when every good receiver gets open? WHEEE! Let’s trade KC’s future for that. Cassel can do that.

Please name

me Stanford’s good WRs. Luck was 26/30 for 344…he had zero turnovers in the redzone all year….please do not try to say he can’t pass the ball.

Revised proposal

OK Colts, you can have our 1st this year and next, and Cassel, and Baldwin to replace Reggie Wayne. And if you want to play the 4-3, you can have Dorsey to go along with Freeney. Payton is going to be OK, and you can use our pick to get Keenum or somebody who you can sign much cheaper than Luck. Really. Think about it.
