Pioli. Indecisive? No Direction?
I thought one of the reasons the Chiefs hired Crennel so fast was so they could get a jump on hiring coordinators and other coaches (the mistake they made for hiring Haley so late). So, why are we still waiting for our first hire? Sometimes I wonder iif Pioli is as confident as he puts on that he is. This goes for the aggressiveness to sign players also. Hunt says money is no object so what's the problem? Does anyone see any decisiveness or direction in Pioli? His moves create more questions than answers.

Wouldn't Romeo be at the forefront of hiring his coordinators?
If Haley got to bring along Clancy in his first year, why wouldn’t Romeo be picking his OC?

it's already been noted and posted by Thorman that the Chiefs want to talk to some guys who are on teams still playing
that means they can’t talk to those guys until after the season ends …

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
Looked like Pioli was the guy picking coordinators to me.
Clancy was nothing more than a place holder until Romeo was available (he had surgery as you recall and wanted to sit out a year).
Surgery
The only reason Crennel wasn’t hired instead of Haley. Haley was just a placeholder until Romeo was ready to take charge.
For constantly playing Palko, Haley needs to be fired

I actually thought
Weiss was going to be the HC in waiting when those 2 where hired
**Heres to 5 err 4 more years of JC!!!!**
We are not a transparent organization anymore
Journalists, fans, etc. are still used to the “ready to spill the beans” Peterson people. Those guys are gone. We’ll know when they want us to know. We needed a drastic change in leadership. If by year 5 of this regime we aren’t producing then we can bitch. Let it take it’s course. They’ve probably interviewed a few coaches already.

Houston Texans disagree
It can take longer and they are now set up to potentially be the dominant team in the AFC for a good amount of time

I think Detroit would disagree too
There are on the 20+ year plan

Charles is like our Tom Brady.
Everyone knows what the patriots would be like without Tom.

In the meantime...
…coaches are getting hired everyday by other teams. Doesn’t this seem a little indecisive? When Haley was fired Pioli should have already had a list, with money no object, this should be done.
you assume that pioli can talk to everyone on his list right now
if someone is coaching for a team that’s in the playoffs, he can’t talk to them until they’re done. i, for one, am not worried about hiring coordinators too quickly. i’d rather they take their time and get it right. what you call indecisive could also be called due dilligence
The only players I hurt with my words are the ones who have an inflated opinion of their ability. I can't worry about that.

Knowledge is confidence. And confidence lets you play fast.

Agree..
Hiring a coordinator compared to hiring a head coach is night and day. Finding the right OC or DC is more important then hiring the one that could come in quickest.
Due dilligence usually has positive results
So far Pioli’s due dilligence has looked more like indecisiveness.
did you bother reading what he said???

hi, Mo! 5 minutes!!!
I understand that. I was referring to the past.
We don’t know the results of this search yet. I’m just saying it looks like a trend. Did you read my statement? “So far Pioli’s due dilligence has looked more like indecisiveness”.
please provide some examples

that and
even if some peeps dont agree with the talent level the Chiefs do have an ex-HC and exOC in our QB coach. If you are going to put coaches on the field might as well be the guy with the most knowledge and impressive resume.
Dont mistake that for me wanting Zorn as our OC. Just saying he has a hell of a resume to be a QB coach..thats all
**Heres to 5 err 4 more years of JC!!!!**
FWIW
Technically they could have spoken with a coach during the divisional rounds if the team didn’t have a bye week. However that would account for just a handful of possible coordinators and likely not the best options.
Who is a young coach
on the Patriots they could be looking at? That is my guess as to what org. they are looking at.
When will the Chiefs be a winning franchise again?

I've been a Chiefs fan since 1980
I don’t want to sound bitter but I’m just tired of losing. I need something positive. I really want Pioli to be the top GM in the league. Not for Pioli but for the Chiefs.
Dude -
I understand where you’re coming from.. It can be frustrating.
Chin up, though. I think Pioli will come through. There are a lot of encouraging signs – he’ll allow Romeo to get the right OC.

This is not an issue.
It is as others have said above, They are waiting for the playoff teams to finish their business. I saw someone mention the Giants staff earlier today. It raised my eyebrows a bit. They have a QB coach that could be a sleeper candidate.
Fans. Impatient? Irrational?
All of the above?
Isn't the word for all three ridiculous?

I truly believe Pioli has a plan
the plan may have flaws, but ultimately, I think he’s building a long term winner.
