ANybody know anything about these RB's?
We need a good power back and a speed back to spell JC, especially early next year.
Do we go fetal and beg for mercy? Or do we pick up that broken piece of pipe laying on the ground and come up swinging? I choose pipe.
Sober (again) since January 10th, 2011.

JC and TR would be the greatest, most destructive, combo since plastic and earth.
I was once fired from a job two days after I waited on Matt Cassel and his wife Lauren Killian. Totally my AP moment to remember. Unfortunately also one of my stupidest moments.

Let me try that again, thanks

Disagree.
I think Earth wanted Plastic, didn’t know how to make it, and needed us. Now that we’ve served our purpose, we can be phased out and Earth will fold Plastic into a new paradigm, Earth + Plastic.
2012 Chiefs Draft Picks by Falcon58: G DeCastro 1st round, NT Ta'amu 2nd round or OT Adcock 2nd/3rd round, TE Egnew 3rd round, RB Ganaway 5th/6th, QB Case Keenum 5th/6th. Resign: Carr, Bowe, Orton, McClain, Gordon(in that order). Trade Dorsey for picks, promote Gordon to DT/DE.

Miller>Richardson for our system IMO
Miller is a bigger back a lot like JC, a good one cut and go back with great speed.

Agreed on Miller, or a couple of other backs for that matter - Polk is my personal fave.
I’ll go against the grain on here and say we need another complementary back similar to TJ – one cut and go, at least competent receiver (Matty Nice is going have JC back for check-downs; but he also needs that check-down option to the RB spelling JC, as well), and an excellent pass-pro/blitz picker-upper. But Miller is just a kickass burner that has the potential to take it to the house on any touch; don’t know much about his receiving and pass-pro skills though?
Anywhoo … I’m going against the thunder and lightning concept. Especially when Pioli appears to be all in on going to a pure ZBS like Houston runs. This presumption is also predicated upon his man-crush on Kelce- which is a REAL midget -plus going with Hudson for presumably an OG if he’d gotten Kelce for C, too? Hudson at LG AND Kelce at C for 2012 wouldn’t have been capable of anything but executing a pure ZBS; by 2012 is presuming that both Hudson and Kelce would’ve sat behind Lilja and Wiegs this past season, respectively.
The ZBS isn’t designed to attack the A-gaps with a plodding power back; until maybe later in the game when they have the big men worn out from finesse blocking them the first 3 qtrs. or so.
What’s your opinion on Robert Turbin? I know nothing about him.
A Dog's Heart
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours, faithful and true, to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.

Miller can catch the ball, never really focused on his pass pro
Can’t say I’ve seen Turbin at all, few scouting reports have some good things to say about him.. however there is ‘’lack of vision/instincts’’ popping up.. not a great thing for a ZBS back.

Don't know much of these guys
but another name to look at for RB is Chris Polk out of Washington….not the fastest but they give him a great grade for being a between the tackle runner, could be a good guy in the 2-3rd round if Richardson isn’t available or we go another way in the first round

Darron Thomas, QB Oregon = worth a flyer
Probably could get him UDFA. Needs some work but dude just wins games. Comes up big in the biggest games
I think he will be a Brad Smith type player
Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.
Hammerfisting my own balls since 2006
Just don't want the guy
Give me Cousins, Foles, or Weedon any day over him.
I can’t even tell you why I don’t like the guy just didn’t. Seems more a product of the team, not very accurate, and raw.
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
People need to stop with this one-liner
Nicknames I have coined:
Jamaal Charles = 'Haley's Comet'
Shaun Smith = 'Big Nasty'
Kelly Gregg = 'Old Gregg'
Can't be worse than Bill Stull

Todd Haley lost 7 of his last 15 games by 20 or more points. It was time for him to go.

Agreed
would have love to see him and LMJ come back and make another run at a title. But dudes gotta get paid while they can. Oregon wont miss a beat without them.
I don't blame LMJ, though.
I’m not sure his value will get any higher, and he would be an injury risk his senior year.
Yeah, I almost always think it's a wise choice to come out early, especially for RBs.
Exceptions this year would be Thomas and Landry Jones.
When you gotta go in the lion's den, you don't go quiet. You go in loud, kick the door down and say WHERE IS THE SONUVABITCH. -B. Billick
Cliff Harris, CB-PR-KR Oregon
Slated as a 2nd-3rd rounder before he got busted for some unpaid parking tickets, weed, etc. Big time playmaker. Got the Deion-swagger you want. Many teams wont go anywhere near him. Could be our Houston-esque steal of the draft
Man, repeated incidents over a fair amout of time....
If Kelly can’t handle him, I don’t think he’d make it on our team.

bryce brown?
Is this a typo? He quit at k state I bet nfl teams will kill to grab him….
by Brendon on Jan 19, 2012 10:55 AM CST via mobile reply actions
Not a typo
He may be worth a late round flyer. Some big question marks. He is probably better than Jackie Battle, but would he be willing to play special teams.

disappointment though
Great skills. Being a Kansas state fan I love the kid but he hasn’t played in 2 years. I want to see him succeed but I think there is a harder worker from another school that will have better success.

yeah, can't tell if he just made bad decisions... or if he's not very bright
or both.
I mostly knew about him from his time in Tennessee and really stopped paying attention when he left so I hadn’t heard anything about the situation at K-State.
Seems like an immense talent that has been clouded by issues and surrounding himself with knuckleheads that did him more harm than good.
If everything pans out maybe worth a late round pick or UDFA snag – if available.

Call me crazy but...
David Wilson is like a Lesean Mccoy type back. Pretty good leader from what I understand too. Brandon Flowers would be happy about getting him too (Vtech).
Stupid ACLs...
Yeah Wilson looks very good to me.
But he’s like a 2nd or 3rd round guy and I don’t see us picking a back that early. Although it might not be a bad idea to consider the fact that J.C might not ever be the same back after the injury. To be honest I hope we do draft someone this year that could take the lead RB role this year if he has too. The guy I like is V.Ballard and he’s a 4th or 5th round guy but that’s if we’re replacing T.Jones. I’d have to take another look if trying to find someone that could take J.C place and be a good short yardage guy.

Wilson is the #2 or #3 RB in this back, depending on who you ask
No way he sees the third, could get in the bottom of the first if he times well

I agree
No way he makes it to the 3rd round and like you say he could go late 1st round. When I said 2nd or 3rd round guy I was referring to what round he was project to go at one of the many site I go too, or at least try to remember.

I wouldn't be surprised
if Bryce Brown goes undrafted. If you won’t show up to play for Coach Snyder, you’re probably not going to show up for anyone.
